Ateneo College Admission Test

Undergraduate Programs

The Ateneo de Davao University seeks to enroll students of good character and demonstrated citizenship who enjoy being part
of a community that welcomes and encourages the participation of each of its members. Students should have strong academic
ability and should be seeking to build a record of personal achievements appropriate for college admission.
Admission is determined by the applicants fitness and preparation for the college programs, ability to contribute toward the enrichment of the undergraduate school community, and potential to be of service to ones fellowmen within the context of national
development.
The Committee on Admission and Scholarship is responsible for selecting the new members of the student body. It bases its
decisions principally on the results of the Ateneo College Admission Test (ACAT), on past academic performance, on the recommendations of teachers, and on information contained in the application form. Applicants who have taken CSAT, UPCAT, ACET,
SAT 2 and other entrance examinations will still have to take the ACAT.
The University has four types of application for admission. International applicants are those students who are non-Filipino and
are not permanent residents in the Philippines under 13a to 13g visas and Filipinos who reside outside the Philippines. Domestic
applicants are Filipino citizens who reside in the Philippines. Audit applicants are those students who intend to study in a non-degree seeking program. Transfer applicants are those students who have studied an undergraduate program in higher education
institution prior to application.
A small number of transfer students is accepted into the College. Criterion for such admission is as above. In addition, the applicant must have finished a semester with at least 15 academic units in another university. If accepted, there is no guarantee as
to the number of courses that will be validated from the previous school.
