Brain child of the multi-faceted Mr. Shripal Morakhia, Smaaash offers a lot

Shripal Morakhia is the founder
of SMAAASH Entertainment
Pvt. Ltd. and the owner of
iDream Production Pvt. Ltd. Mr.
Morakhia brings with him rich,
top management level corporate
experience, acquired while working for renowned companies viz. NYSE,
SSKI, Reliance Mediaworks Ltd. and BSE. Mr. Morakhia holds an MBA
degree from New York University and featured in Business Indias "Stars
2000: A who's who of business leaders for the next century''. His interests lie
in pioneering new businesses with innovative solutions. Mr. Morakhias
management style is participative, open and informal, with high emphasis on
goal achievement and excellence. He founded brokerage firm Sharekhan and
investment banking outfit SSKI, sold them to CitiVenture and IDFC
respectively for Rs 1,250.
Mr. Morakhia is a sports enthusiast and is passionate towards the growth of
his brainchild, SMAAASH.

"We believe one day all games will be played the Smaaash way," Morakhia
told Economic Times at July 31, 2014.
Smaaash also plans to open more centres like its Mumbai flagship and offer
more sports. Morakhia said it is working on 17 soccer-related games,
including playing with lasers.
It has 400 employees around the globe working on innovation to create
augmented reality for every sport. "You can run against Bolt, but unless it
feels real it won't work," Morakhia said. "If you want to skydive you need the
feeling of that fear of jumping off. It takes a lot of work to perfect that," he said.
Smaaash has identified locations in Surat, Hyderabad, Bangalore, two in
Delhi and one more in Mumbai. "We are going strictly by where we see more
footfall," Morakhia said.

SACHIN TENDULKAR

Ambassador. Mr. Sachin Tendulkar is an
integral part of the Smaaash family since it's
inception in 2012. He has also played a vital
role in developing and authenticating the
proprietary Smaaash Cricket technology. In
Sachin's words, "Smaaash Cricket is as
close as it can get to 'real' Cricket.''

Summary
Rohit Singh had been appointed as an IT Engineer at Smaaash Entertainment
Pvt Ltd. That time Smaaash was developing a cricket simulator game which
was having large combination of software and hardware integration.
The major tasks include strategy, research & development, translating
customer needs into product specifications, and implementing best practice.
He has worked very close with the higher level personnel from Hawk eye as
well as from Smaaash.
Sachin Tendulkar launched the cricket simulator center in Mumbai at
Smaaash in November 2012. Spending more than 3 months of hard work,
launching the center was both challenging and a truly rewarding.
Got promoted on January 2013 as senior IT engineer.

June 2013
The GAA officiating system is used for the first time at Croke Park, Dublin.
May 2013
The Premier League confirms the use of Hawk-Eye GLT at all 20 clubs for the
2013-2014 season.
October 2012
Hawk-Eye gains official authorisation from FIFA to install their goal-line
technology systems worldwide.

The football simulator makes it's debut at the Champions League Final,
Munich.

Tennis player and ball tracking data is used as a coaching aid at the Miami
Masters 1000 and The SAP Open events. For the first time, players were able
to immediately access data from their matches, including new innovations
such as spin and distance covered by each player. With elite performance
decided by fine margins, this new data source has been well received by
tennis experts, and fits well with the new Hawk-Eye coaching academy
systems that are being installed across the world.
January 2012
Hawk-Eye is one of only 2 companies to successfully pass Phase 1 of the
FIFA approval process for Goal Line Technology (GLT) in football. The IFAB
approved Hawk-Eye to take part in Phase 2 testing, which will further assess
the reliability and accuracy of the system under more realistic game
conditions, and is due to take place in between March and June 2012.

The Australian Open Tennis extend the use of Hawk-Eye onto 3 of it main
match courts.

The US Open provide the electronic line calling system across 4 courts.

The All England Championships, Wimbledon become the first Grand Slam to
use the electronic line calling system across 4 courts.

Sony acquires Hawk-Eye as a flagship brand within its sports business.
The Indian Wells Masters 1000 series event in California become the first
event to boast Hawk-Eye on all 8 match courts.

The cricket system is used for Decision Review System during the Cricket
World Cup in India, the third occasion that Hawk-Eye have featured at this
level of competition.
A permanent installation of cricket tracking cameras and HD video cameras
are installed at the ICC Global Cricket Academy, Dubai, for year round use by
onsite elite players and coaches.

Fox Sports Australia utilise Hawk-Eye tracking technology for their domestic
cricket coverage.

The Hong Kong Cricket Club finalise installation of a tracking and HD video
system across 3 coaching lanes.
August 2008
Hawk-Eye became involved in the Olympic movement for the very first time,
with the tennis systems used on the two show courts at the Beijing Games.
Hawk-Eye's sister company, Pulse makes its debut at the 2008 US Open.
Pulse provides fans with a live and truly interactive experience of the
tournament by giving users the opportunity to express their opinion, track
player and tournament progress, improve their tennis knowledge and best of
all predict the game-by-game outcome of the match.

The MCC World Cricket Committee announces that Hawk-Eye will be used in
trials to determine a new Decision Review System in Test Cricket.

Hawk-Eye sends three units to the inaugural ICC World Twenty20
Championships in South Africa.
August 2007
Hawk-Eye's football goal-line technology passes the first stage of testing by
the FA Premier League at Reading FC's training ground.
July 2007
Following the sale of Cricinfo to ESPN by the Wisden Group, Hawk-Eye is
demerged from Wisden to become an independent company under Mark
Gettys and the Hawk-Eye managements direct ownership. This sets up
Hawk-Eye to be developed over the long term as a focused sports technology
services and sports content provider.
June 2007
Hawk-Eye is used officially at the Wimbledon Championships, the third Grand

The IFAB (International Football Association Board) gives its approval for
Hawk-Eye's football development work.
January 2007
The Rod Laver Arena boasts new video boards as Hawk-Eye is used officially
at the Australian Open. Players are allowed two incorrect challenges per set,
with the benefit of an additional challenge if the set goes to a tie-break.
Hawk-Eye agrees a contract with the English Premier League to develop
goal-line technology for football (soccer).
Summer 2006
Hawk-Eye is used officially at the 10 US Open Series events and at World
Team Tennis throughout the United States. The companys four units
culminate in the first Official Challenge system to be used at a grand slam
tennis event at The US Open.

March 2006
Hawk-Eye is used officially at the Nasdaq-100 Open in Miami, the first Tour
event to adopt the system.
December 2005
The Hawk-Eye Official Review Tennis system makes its debut in the
Champions Tour at the Royal Albert Hall.
October 2005
Hawk-Eye passes stringent ITF electronic line calling testing, at the Arthur
Ashe Stadium in New York. This enabled Tour events to utilise the officiating
aid for the very first time.
November 2004
Hawk-Eye wins The BCS Technology Award for Enhancement to Television
Production.
September 2004
Jennifer Capriati's 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 quarterfinal victory over Serena Williams at
the U.S. Open thrusts tennis line-calling into the media spotlight.
September 2003
Hawk-Eye wins an Emmy for Outstanding Innovative Technical Achievement.
January 2003
Hawk-Eye makes its Grand Slam television debut at the Australian Open.

After eighteen months of development, Channel 4 use Hawk-Eye in their
coverage of the Ashes, winning a BAFTA for Sports Innovation.
Hawk-Eye wins the Royal Television Society Award for Technical Innovation.
Early 1999
Research begins at Roke Manor Research Ltd., a company with over thirty
years of vision processing expertise. Led by Dr. Paul Hawkins and funded by
The Television Corporation, the concept of ''Hawk-Eye'' is born.

Operational Team
Hawk-Eyes operations team encompasses specialist operators, who spend
the vast majority of their time on tour following high profile events around the
world. Their tasks include setting up and testing the Hawk-Eye tracking
equipment, monitoring and operating the system during play, liaising with TV
broadcasters and match officials, as well as driving new and exciting features,
stories and services to all of our customers.
Although an interest in sport is valuable, a strong computer and technical
background is of paramount importance to ensure that the system is
consistently delivered to a high standard, as well as developed and improved
to keep up with the ever changing demands across a variety of sports.

Software Development Team


Hawk-Eye represents the cutting edge of sports technology and employs
industry leading engineers to ensure that this position is maintained. HawkEye has continued to grow aggressively throughout its 14 year history, the
basis for which is continued investment in new products. A software
development role within Hawk-Eye not only represents the opportunity to
learn from, and work with a team of world class engineers, it also represents
the opportunity to be a key part of new projects and innovations.
Hawk-Eye's development philosophy centres around innovation and creativity.
This is reflected in regular hack days and innovation amnesties which
encourage time spent working on projects that are not currently part of the
Hawk-Eye strategic vision. Hawk-Eye also has a flat management hierarchy

Hawk-Eye simulators put you in the shoes of the world's greatest players,
playing in some of the greatest sporting venues, against the most formidable
opponents. From testing your service speed and accuracy on Centre Court,
taking a penalty in the Champions League Final, or receiving a cricket delivery
from one of the finest spin bowlers, Hawk-Eye simulators allow the general
public, corporate guests and elite athletes to 'virtually' test their skill and
nerve.
First developed for cricket corporate hospitality, the Hawk-Eye simulator
portfolio has diversified across a wide range of sports, most notably football
and tennis. Using data sourced from elite athletes Hawk-Eye simulators have
also become a unique coaching tool.

Cricket Simulators
Hawk-Eye has worked in partnership with Smaaash Entertainment to develop
an immersive and realistic cricket game play environment. Smaaash, a sports
based entertainment centre in Mumbai, offers eight lanes and a choice of two
cricket simulator games; the Masterblaster and the Thunderball'. Smaaash
have a global exclusive license for the cricket simulator.
The Masterblaster game allows you to face the best bowlers in the world. You
can play against the pace bowlers of Brett Lee, Wasim Akram and Lasith
Malinga as well as the spin bowlers of Anil Kumble, Sachin Tendulkar, Shane
Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan.
Thunderbowl pits you against the batting might of Sachin Tendulkar and
Virender Sehwag, two batsmen who are not easily bowled out. England ExCaptain Mike Artherton adds to the atmosphere with commentary on both
games.
The games cater for all ages and abilities as they use a no sting ball and you
can choose what level to play at from Beginner all the way to International.
The systems utilise the core ball tracking technology that has been
successfully used and refined over the past decade in several different sports
arenas for both officiating and television coverage purposes.
