Objetivo General:

To give students adequate tuition and practice in the use of appropriate English for careers and business. As a
secondary aim the students will be prepared for the graduation exam with complementary business themed
activities.

Programa de Clase:

SESIÓN 1: Introduction
Course overview. Evaluation criteria. Ice breaking activity on marketing Colombia. Sales exercise (selling
everyday objects on a bus!)
MATERIAL DE LECTURA: Business plan template, business plans from alumni. Corporate video
marketing Colombia .

SESIÓN 2: Marketing Colombia – How to design a magazine advert

Building on the previous class students will design and present advert to promote intrinsically Colombian products to
the international market – hormigas, pony malta, tejo, arequipe. Focus on vocabulary – adjectives, superlative /
comparative form, use of modals, imperative form
