New Delhi. The BCC plays a critical role in supporting Bain's Practice Areas (PA) globally
helping to further strengthen Bain's world-class intellectual capital. The BCC comprises of
Consulting Services and Global Shared Services.
POSITION SUMMARY
The BCC-based team of Associates, KM is a vital part of global PPK at Bain and is a part of
the broader Global Shared Services group at BCC. Aligned with an industry or capability PA
respectively, Associates work with globally distributed Knowledge Specialists (KS) and
Practice Area Managers (PAM) to ensure the capture, codification and sharing of consulting
staff knowledge and case experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES

Knowledge Associates support global KM and the industry or capability PAs to

Codify case information and content for contribution to global knowledge base
o Disguise/sanitize and repackage content from client presentations and consulting
projects in manner consistent with Bains professional standards guidelines.
o Develop and update points of views, industry overviews, credentials, primers and
practice area member bios.
o Reconcile new documents with existing similar documents to maintain a fresh
knowledge base
Maintain knowledge databases and metrics to facilitate PA growth and operations.
o Create presentations for regular PA pipeline and revenue discussions.
o Build knowledge base of cases using key practice area products.
o Track proposal submissions and key findings/outcomes from case projects
Compose regular newsletters to PA affiliates on latest case, proposal, knowledge
Developments
Some other specific tasks include
o Ensure that case teams follow the appropriate summary compliance guidelines
o Write case abstracts and tag cases to allocate revenue to appropriate PAs
o Conduct PA-specific research and competitor analysis to update view of external
market trends relevant to practice area
Perform other related duties as assigned as per PA requirements
Help the firm prepare materials for client ppts and consulting projects
Support the creation and update of knowledge assets including: client updates, competitive
intelligence, industry research etc.
Maintain, manage and develop the firms knowledge infrastructure
Share best practices and tactical knowledge across offices, practice areas and teams
QUALIFICATIONS

Strong academic pedigree

o Undergraduate from a tier 1/ top tier 2 college from across the country
First division scores in undergrad/ masters and 80%+ in 10th and 12th standard
1-3 years of work experience in a professional services/ research set up
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Applies business logic/ common sense to solve day-to-day business problems
Comfortable with application of MS-Office toolkit (knows complex excel functions, is
creative with usage of PowerPoint)
Owns and drives work-plan in a remote setting with moderate to low level of
supervision
Delivers error free work with moderate to low supervision and pays high attention to
detail
Communicates confidently and articulately with global audience including senior Bain
staff; is able to comprehend and contribute during team meetings/ updates
Demonstrates flexibility while working closely with teams in a global setting, which
may require working non-standard hours
