need of behavioral health

person
will
be available
to see patients
as needed when
they visit a physician at in the medical facility. This provides
the opportunity for two systems to
work together hand in hand to provide this service to those in need.
By creating this continuum of care,
individuals will be able to receive
the care they need while at the doctors office and the opportunity to be
referred to the mental health center
to further their treatment if needed.

This is an exciting time for behavioral health care in Labette County, stated Matthew Atteberry, LSCSW, executive director of Labette Center. By receiving this grant we
have been given the ability to provide the best overall care
by working hand in hand with the medical community.
Doug Stacy, Assistant Administrator at Labette Health stated, We at Labette Health are very eager to have a behaviorist embedded in our Medical Office Building. We look
forward to working with LCMHS on this project. This opportunity provides so many new possibilities and the implementation of it will be an exciting process.
Labette Center will soon begin the search for the qualified
mental health professional to fill this newly created position. The Center will be looking for a person that is highly
motivated and prepared for a new and innovative way to

The Labette Center for Mental Health Service, Inc. Foundation for Help and Hope is
an entity governed by a Board of Trustees, which is jointly shared with Labette Center for Mental Health Services. The foundation creates opportunity for individuals in
the community and surrounding areas to be able to give to a local non-profit organization whose mission is to create hope and opportunity for life change by providing
education, support, consultation, and therapeutic behavioral health services to the
people and communities of Labette County.
The foundation enables us to grow and expand the hope and help we are able to

Labette Center for Mental Health Services will be holding an Youth Mental Health
First Aid course on Tuesday April 22nd, 2015 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The
course will be held at Labette Centers main facility located at 1730 Belmont Parsons KS in the multi-purpose room. Participants must register prior to the course.
Cost of registration is $50.00 which includes materials, lunch and snacks.
This program covers information about how to help a youth who may be expierencing a mental health crisis or at the onset of a mental illness. The program is
excellent for anyone, and specifically for those who work with youth. This includes teachers, paraprofessionals, principals, youth leaders, afterschool program
coordiantors, parents, and those who actively work with youth in the community.
Through this course individuals will learn skills and information to help a youth
in need.
