Introduction

Wah Nobel is a joint venture between SAAB SWEDEN, ALMISEHAL SAUDIA


AREBIA and Pakistan Ordnance factories. Wah Nobel organization is a manufacturing
company of explosive, chemical, detonators and acetic acid.For more than three decades
Wah Nobel has stood as a symbol of safety, reliability, service and commitment. Wah
Nobel’s products enjoy the highest reputation in Pakistan and aboard. This has been
achieved through innovation, experience, state-of- art technology a vision for the future.

The organization business sector of Wah Nobel groups of companies is base on five
companies.
1- Wah Nobel Private Limited:

It’s products have made valuable contribution in the national


development projects like tarbela & Mangla dams,
Karakurram Highway, Islamabad- Lahore Motorway and
other projects involving tunneling, mining.

The industrial unit of Wah Nobel chemicals limited


comprises of two plants, one for the manufacture of
formaldehyde & the other for the production of urea &
phenol formaldehyde liquid resins. Product has low
methanol and formic acid contents and can be manufactured
to strength as high as 56% solution in water. Wah Nobel
licensed a large number of plants in Europe, Asia and America and these plants are
giving the optimum yield of high quality product. Their Formaldehyde plant is based on
their latest production techniques.

Wah Nobel Detonators (Pvt) Ltd has the manufacture of commercial detonators.

Locations

The factory is located in S.D.A. Industrial Estate, Hattar (N.W.F.P). The industrial units
compose of sophisticated machinery & equipment for under taking production of
initiatory explosives & plain detonators strictly to international standards in the initial
phase.

Wah Nobel Acetates Limited is a Chemical base manufacturing unit. By establishment of


production facilities of Acid Base product, Wah Nobel has taken a leap forward in
attaining self-sufficiency in manufacture of these products.

LOCATION AND SUPPLIERS

Wah Nobel organization is a manufacturing company of explosive, chemical,


detonators and acetic acid. The company supplies its product to the hatter factories,
and the explosive factories like Wah Ordinances Factory. Its location is in Wah
Cantt about 45 kilometers away from the Capital of Islamabad.

advantage is that the products they are in dealing have the same standard as of

the standard of imported products. And Wah Nobel competitors like PSO

(Pakistan state oil ltd), shell, and Ravi chemicals have not that same standard in

fact have many impurities in their products.

Development and design of the product

Stat their process by checking the demand and gap of demand of the product in the

market on these bases decide whether they go for manufacturing or trading. Wah

Nobel find manufacturing in their favor because of the inexpensive availability of raw

material. And that’s why Wah Nobel goes for manufacturing. As they are dealing in

manufacturing of chemicals there are same standard of the design of here products.

Diluting different solvents and then after that perform a composition of those wiyh

different solvents.

Work Environment
 Management of Wah Nobel is committed to promote the highest standard of safe and healthy
working conditions and clean environment in the company and is of the firm opinion that accidents and
injuries can be prevented.
 Our employees are our most important asset and we consider them as critical element for the success
of our safety programmed. It is, therefore, imperative that the employees should ensure that all safety rules
and regulations are obeyed and protective equipment is used wherever it is necessary and specified.

Purchase department invites quotations from international suppliers and prepares

comparative statements of their offers. Export commercial explosives, this process are

performed or the intermediary use is POF (Pakistan ordinance factories).POF controls all

the management and process of import and export. Wah Nobel licensed a large number of

plants in Europe. Asia and America and these plants are giving the optimum yield of high

quality product.
Inventory:

Feeding of inventory is carried out in the first week of every month. Feeding will take

about two days.OBL have tanks in which 6 to 7 days production is stored. Offers request

of quotations in return suppliers response to them and order goes for those providing a

quality material and price.

Maintenance
Maintenance and the quantity expecting from employees both these factors are

Location

Location has a great effect because of the strong competitor’s forces. Its location is in

Wah Cantt about 45 kilometers away from the Capital of Islamabad. Karachi, Lahore

and Islamabad are the main targeted area because they are industrial areas. Wah Nobel

deal the market of Lahore and Islamabad easily from Wah Cantt through telemarketing

and by visiting the markets. And for Karachi Wah Nobel locate a liaison office in Karachi

to deal and meet the demand of Karachi market.

Expansion
The company management have progressive mind & it is planning to further increase the

production on capacity of the company by installing new plant after the installation of

this plant the production capacity will be doubled & will reach to 14,000 M.tons.

Therefore we can predict that the company will prosper in future, sell more & more

generate greater revenues and contribution in National development and G.D.P.
