RECAP: The Rainiers rallied for 3 runs over the final 2 innings, including 2 in the bottom of the 9th inning, but it wasnt enough as Tacoma fell
to Albuquerque 6-8 on Tuesday night. The Rainiers 1-4 hitters, 2B Chris Taylor (2x5), SS Ketel Marte (2x5, R, 2B, RBI), DH Stefen Romero
(2x5, R, HR, 3 RBI) and 1B Jesus Montero (2x4), combined to hit 8-for-19 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 home run and 3 RBI. Romero hit
his first home run of the season with a 2-run, 2-out blast in the 3rd inning, while RF Jabari Blash (1x3, 2 R, HR, RBI, BB, SB) hit his second
home run of the season with a solo shot in the 3rd inning as well. Starter Sam Gaviglio (4.0,4,5,5,4,7,2HR,WP) recorded his first loss of the
season, allowing 5 runs, including 4 in the first inning, on 4 hits over 4.0 innings. RH Forrest Snow (5.0,4,3,3,0,2,2HR) allowed 3 runs on 4
hits over 5.0 innings in relief.
OF NOTE: 1B/DH Jesus Montero has hit safely in 11 of 12 games with 6 multi-hit contests this season, batting .360 (18x50) with 8 runs

Franklin Gutierrez has hit safely in 7 of 8 game he has appeared with 4 multi-hit games, batting .393 (11x28) with 7 runs scored, 4 doubles, 2

COACHING STAFF: Pat Listach is in his first season as the Rainiers manager and is the 30th manager in Tacoma history. Listach served as
the manager PCL Iowa Cubs in 2002 and 2008, when he was named PCL Manager of the Year. He led those teams to a combined 110-87
(.558) record. He has also manged two seasons in the Southern League with West Tennessee, going 148-130 (.532). Listach spent the 2014
season as the third base coach for the Houston Astros. He has over 20 years of experience in professional baseball as a player, Major League
and minor league coach, and minor league manager and coordinator. Prior to last season, Listach was the Los Angeles Dodgers minor league
infield coordinator in 2013 and coached on the Major League staffs for the Chicago Cubs (2011-12) and Washington Nationals (2009-10) for
two years apiece. Originally drafted by the Mariners in 1987 out of McLennan College, Listach began his 11-year professional career with the
Brewers after they drafted him in the fifth round of the 1988 draft. Listach was named American League Rookie of the Year in 1992 after hitting
.290/.352/.349 (168x579) with 47 RBI. Pitching coach Jaime Navarro, who is in his 7th season with the Mariners organization and hitting Cory
Snyder, who is in his 5th season with the organization, are each in their second season with the Rainiers. Tom Newberg and Tyler Moos are
part of the training staff, while Will Lindholm is the teams performance coach.

RECAP: The Generals scored 4 runs over the 7th and 8th to come-from-behind as Jackson defeated Tennessee 5-3 on Tuesday night. SS
Tyler Smith (1x3, BB), 2B Jack Reinheimer (1x4, R), 1B D.J. Peterson (1x4, RBI) and DH Daniel Paolini (1x2, R, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB) each
recorded 1 of the Gernerals 4 hits. Starter Stephen Landazuri (5.2,8,3,3,0,6) allowed 3 runs on 8 hits voer 5.2 innings, but did not factor into
the decision. LH James Gillheeney (2.1,2,0,0,0,0) and RH Matt Anderson (1.0,0,0,0,0,2) combined to hold the Generals scoreless over the
final 3.1 innings to secure the victory. Gillheeney (2-0) picked up his 2nd win, while Anderson earned his 2nd save.
OF NOTE: In his first 2 career starts, RH Misael Siverio has allowed only 1 run over 10.1 innings (0.87 ERA). He has limited opponents to a
.139 average (5x36), while walking 2 and striking out 11. OF Dario Pizzano has hit safely in 6 of 7 games he has appeared, batting .304
(7x23) with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 RBI, 3 walks and 1 stolen base. After going 2-for-19 in his frist 5 games this season, OF Gabby
Guerrero has hit safely in each of his last 4 games, batting .412 (7x17) with 3 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 home run and 3 RBI. OF Jordy Lara
has hit safely in 7 of 10 games with 3 multi-hit contests, batting .286 (10x35) with 4 runs scored, 1 triple and 5 walks.
COACHING STAFF: James Horner is in his second season as manager of the Mariners affiliate in the Southern League, the Jackson
Generals. Horner is in his 9th season with the Mariners (2005-10, 2013-current), but third as manager since returning to the organization in
2013. Pitching coach Lance Painter and hitting coach Roy Howell round out the staff in Jackson. Painter enters his 10th season with the
Mariners, including his fifth with Jackson (2010-12, 2013-current). Howell returns to the Generals after managing the Tacoma Rainiers in 2014.
He guided the Rainiers to 74 wins in his first season leading the field staff, which was tied for the 9th-most victories collected by a manager in
his first full season at Tacoma. The rest of his staff include athletic trainer BJ Downie and performance coach Derek Mendoza.

RECAP: SS Brock Hebert hit a grand slam home run in the top of the 8th inning as Bakersfield broke a 1-1 tie to defeat Stockton 5-1 on
Tuesday night. The win was Bakerfield 5 straight. RF Austin Wilson (2x4, R, 2B) recorded the clubs only multi-hit contest, while CF Ian Miller
(1x4, 3B), 2B Tim Lopes (1x4, R, HR, RBI), DH Burt Reynolds (1x3, R, BB) and SS Brock Hebert (1x4, R, HR, 4 RBI) each recorded 1 of
the teams 6 hits. Lopes recorded his first home run of the season with a solo blast with 1 out in the first inning, while Hebert picked up his 2nd
home run of the season with his first career grand slam in the 8th inning. Starter Dan Altavilla (6.0,2,1,1,2,7,HR) allowed 1 run on 2 hits and
struck out 7 in 6.0 innings, but did not factor into the decision. LH Nick Valenza (2.0,2,0,0,1,3) and RH Trey Cochran-Gill (1.0,0,0,0,1,1)
combined to hold the Ports scoreless over the final 3.0 innings. Valenza earned his first win of the season after tossing a scoreless 7th and 8th
innings.
OF NOTE: RHP Edwin Diaz allowed a run in the first inning on April 19 at San Jose, snapping his scoreless inning streak at 11.0 innings to
open the season. It also snapped a string of 16.0 scoreless innings dating back to his final start of the 2014 season on Aug. 29 at Quad Cities
(w/Clinton). Overall this season, Diaz is 1-0 with a 2.63 ERA (4 ER, 13.2 IP) in 3 starts with Bakersfield. C Tyler Marlette has hit safely in 8 of
10 games he has appeared this season, batting .389 (14x36) with 8 runs scored, 1 double, 2 home runs, 8 RBI, 2 walks, 2 stolen base and 1
HBP. RH Trey Cochran-Gill has allowed only 1 run over 10.1 innings in relief. He has limited opponents to a 0.67 average (2x30), while
walking 2 and striking out 12.
COACHING STAFF: Manager Eddie Menchaca, who managed the High Desert Mavericks last season returns for his second season leading
the Mariners California League affiliate. He enters his seventh season in the Mariners organization, including five as manager. Menchaca has
led his squad to the postseason in four of the last five seasons. Pitching coach Andrew Lorraine and hitting coach Max Venable each return
to Menchacas staff for the second consecutive season. Lorraine is in his sixth season as a pitching coach in the Mariners minor league
system, while Venable returns for his second season as hitting coach. Geoff Swanson, who served as the Clinton LumberKings trainer in
2014 is in his first season with Bakersfield and first-year performance coach Aaron Reis round out the Blaze staff.

COACHING STAFF: The Mariners Midwest League affiliate, the Clinton LumberKings, is managed by Scott Steinmann, who returns for his
second consecutive season with the team. His staff includes returning pitching coach Cibney Bello, who is entering his third season with the
Mariners organization and hitting coach Mike Davis, who was the hitting coach with Everett in 2014. Athletic trainer Matt Corvo and
Performance Coach Paul Howey are both in their first season with Clinton.
