12 PL 61AJ 3QZW - A method for producing liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons through
underground coal liquefaction in deposits
Technology collaboration OFFER
Abstract
A Polish inventer has developed a method for producing liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons through underground coal liquefaction in deposits.
Advantages over conventional methods include the usage of deposits that have not been exploited due to its small size, and unification of various
processes that were employed in synthetic fuels production. The inventor is looking for industrial partners interested in further development and in
research institutes and companies for testing of new applications.

Description
A Polish inventor having extensive experience in the processes involved in a synthetic fuels production from coal has developed a method for producing
liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons through underground coal liquefaction in deposits.
The method itself is based on the fact that liquid hydrocarbons are produced by the polymerization of short hydrocarbon chains into long ones under the
influence of pressure and the presence of catalysts. The pressure is caused by the pressure of the rock mass at the area where the process of
hydrocarbons production is taking place; which is the original carbon deposit. To prevent pressure drop process is closed. Facilities for contact with
the ground during the preparation of the process (wells, shafts, wells) should be plugged in such a manner as to maintain the pressure. Wells and shafts
can be used to place the tubing for the collection of hydrocarbons. Oxygen, necessary to burn the coal to produce sufficiently high temperature,
(necessary to initiate the process) is placed in advance before the closing of the process.
High temperatures and sealed process ensure utilization of harmful pollutants and prevent their movement outside of the process. In addition to
hydrocarbon, there are byproducts of the process: sponge iron and cement clinker. Hydrocarbons are brought to the surface by pressure. During the
process, the rock is melted, and after cooling their resistance to pressure is significantly higher. This creates a sort of floor on which you can by a
foundation for buildings and under which there is a space, which can be exploited economically.
Additionally the production of hydrocarbons may be used for the disposal of solid waste.
The inventor is looking for industrial partners interested in further development and in research institutes and companies for testing of new applications.
