TOWN CENTER AREA
PROJECT BENEFITS
Why Now?
FINANCIALS
This problem has been ongoing and will only get worse!
The town applied for State Revolving Funds (SRF) to help fund this project
Selected by the State for 2015 construction funding.
Programs are updated annually - If the project is not funded
by June 30th we will lose state funds this year.
This project is sequential. Phase 1 must be completed prior to any other
projects, like the school site.
This project is also eligible for federal grants and loan funds, which are
subject to availability.
Takes advantage of some of the lowest borrowing rates in history.
FUNDING OPTIONS
A committee reviewed all funding options and determined that the best alternative
is to have homeowners pay their share and also have the town tax base pay for the
common costs of the project as the sewer system provides a community benet.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The project is proposed to be funded partially by both the lot owners in the area of the
sewer system and by the town tax base.
