Tocreateafalseheadforacentrifugalpump,allowingyoutorunthepumpclosetoitsBEP.

Toincreasethefluidvelocityinaline.
Theequationforflowthroughanorificeisasimpleonetounderstand.Onlytheunitsaresomewhat
awkward.
