zoonych wraz z odpowiedziami
1

Co to jest czasownik zoony?

Czasownik zoony jest to kombinacja czasownika z partyku, ktra albo mo

dyfikuje znaczenie czasownika, albo je uzupenia.
2

Czym jest partykua?

Partykua jest przyswkiem lub przyimkiem. Okrelenie partykua" stosowa

ne jest dlatego, e ten sam wyraz moe peni obie wspomniane funkcje. Popatrz
my na up w nastpujcych przykadach:
2A John ran up the stairs, (up jest tu przyimkiem)
2B John picked up his hat. (up jest przyswkiem)
Nastpujce wyrazy s zawsze przyimkami:
against, among, as, at, beside, for, from, into, like, of, onto, upon, with.

Nastpujce wyrazy s zawsze przyswkami:

ahead, apart, aside, away, back, forward, forwards, home, in front, on top, out
(w brytyjskiej angielszczynie), together.
Poniej wymienione wyrazy mog by albo przyswkami, albo przyimkami:
about, above, across, after, along, around, by, down, in, off, on, out
(w angielszczynie amerykaskiej), over, past, round, through, under, up.
W tej ksice omwiono wszystkie przyswki zaznaczone kursyw. Zostan
one przedstawione w kolejnoci od najczciej do rzadziej wystpujcych.
3

szych przykadach (on i about s przyimkami):
3A She insisted on buying a new carpet. (Ona nalegaa na kupno nowego dywanu.).
3B I dreamed about you last night. (niem o tobie ostatniej nocy.).
Jednake powysze czasowniki nie s czasownikami zoonymi, gdy przyimki, chocia konieczne, nie zmieniaj normalnego znaczenia czasownikw insist
i dream (patrz punkt 1, powyej).
Czsto przyimki dodane do czasownikw nadaj im szczeglne znaczenie, tak
jak after i into w przykadach poniej:
3C Will you look after my bag for me? (Czy zaopiekujesz si moj torb?)
3D She came into a fortune on his death. (Odziedziczya majtek po jego mierci.).
