Wolves raising funds to attend camp


THE EAST ATCHISON WOLVES - Football Team held
a car wash and bake sale on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at
Torrey Pines in Tarkio. Pictured are Colin Joesting, Conner Shaw, and Mike Shaw. The team is raising funds to attend a camp at Northwest Missouri State University. More
funds are needed so the team will be hosting a barbecue at
Hy-Vee in Tarkio on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Come enjoy a
hamburger, hot dog, brats, or prime rib sandwich and help
out the team!

Baseball Team competed
in the Class 2, District 16
Baseball Tournament held
last week at North Platte in
Dearborn, MO. The Wolves
fell to Lone Jack 2-8, ending
district play and the 2015
baseball season.
Brody Cooper was a workhorse on the pitchers mound.
He allowed one earned run,
four hits and two walks
while striking out nine over
six innings of work. He also
hit an RBI double in the
sixth inning and stole home,
which earned the Wolves
two runs.

THE TARKIO ELEMENTARY - Fourth graders, teachers,


an administrator, and parents traveled to Jefferson City,
MO, on Monday, May 18, 2015, on a chartered bus. The students toured the Missouri State Capitol Building, Museum
of Missouri Military History, Missouri Supreme Court Building including Judge Zel Fishers 4th floor judges chambers,
and the Cole County Historical Society Museum.

FFA Chapter makes picnic tables for park


THE TARKIO HIGH SCHOOL FFA CHAPTER - Represented by members, from left
to right, Kris Riley, Ethan Riley, Colin Joesting, and sponsor Dustin Lambertsen, made
six picnic tables for Niedermeyer Park in Tarkio. The City of Tarkio purchased five of the
tables and the FFA Chapter donated one. All were made by the students in the ag shop at
Tarkio High School.
