INTRODUCTION
The term manufacturing refers to the use of men, machines and
material for producing goods for personal use or for sale.
Manufacturing is commonly applied to industrial production in
which raw materials are transformed into finished goods.
In other words, product manufacturing is the process of converting
raw materials into finished goods with the help of men, machine,
material and money.
These finished goods are sold to the wholesalers who in turn sell
them to the retailers who further sell them to the end users or the
consumers.
Examples of product manufacturing
Almost every product that we use is manufactured in some or the
other way.
For example Mobile phones, TV. Sets, books and magazines,
CDs etc.

REVIEW OF LITERATURE
The Shri Edibles Pvt. Ltd. was established in the year 1990 in
Jaipur.
The company is engaged in offering its clients exclusive range of
highly processed food, natural and healthy processed food and
snacks. The company cater to varied customer tastes and
preferences and deliver customized food products in accordance to
their specifications within a stipulated time.
The companys aim is to deliver world class quality food products
with cost minimization techniques of production that is reflected in
its highly affordable price range of products.
Its huge success and popularity has attributed to its highly
experienced R&D department which constantly upgrades the
innovative methods in food processing and analyses the market
situations of its products which helps it to incorporate the same
and upgrade the techniques of food processing and offer better
quality products at reduced cost.
Its products are branded as the best choice among the customer
base due to their unique features such as addictive taste and
customized packaging to retain their original taste and quality till it
reaches the customer.
In pursuit of excellence in quality and reliability, the company
cater to various industries for their varied food requirements
including leading hotels, restaurants, in-flight catering
organizations etc. it has also earned a reputed customer base
globally.

Its success to food processing industry is attributed to cost


effective pricing, transparent business dealings, and fast delivery
policies owing to which the company has attained towering status
in the global arena.
The company is working as an
Importer, exporter, manufacturer, wholesaler, supplier, distributor
within and outside the boundaries of India.
The major markets of the company areAustralia, New Zealand, North America, South Africa, East Asia,
East Europe etc.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
DEFINITION
Research Methodology is basically a science of
studying how research is done scientifically.
The system of collecting data for research projects is
known as research methodology.

SCOPE
The scope of the study refers to the job of knowing about the
activities of the organization.
During my training I was able to learn about the manufacturing
procedure of various Edible products ( syrups, pickles etc.) in the
company.
The scope of the study covers the areas related to production,
finance and marketing strategies
OBJECTIVES
The main objectives of my study are1) To know the manufacturing process of various products.
2) To study the problems faced by the export unit.

3) To analyze the demand and supply of products in the domestic


market.
HYPOTHEIS
A tentative schedule prepared for an observation, or scientific
problem that can be tested by further investigation.
The Hypothesis of my study is to know whether the customers are
satisfied with the companys product or not.
CLASSIFICATION OF HYPOTHEIS
1) Null Hypothesis
The null hypothesis of my study states that the customers are
satisfied with the new launch of products of the company.
It is denoted by Ho.
2) Alternative Hypothesis
The alternative hypothesis states that the customers are not
satisfied with the new launch of products of the company.
It is denoted by H1 or Ha.

The survey was conducted to know the denial of new products


manufacturing result proved that the customer were satisfied
with the new tastes and flavors of new products.
Thus null hypothesis is accepted.

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
What is sampling?
A shortcut method for investigating the whole population.
Techniques of Sampling
There are mainly three types of sampling techniques1) Random Sampling
2) Systematic Sampling
3) Stratified Sampling
The sampling technique which I have used in my study is
Random Sampling.
Random Sampling is basically a subset of individuals chosen from
a large set of population.
Sample size
The sample size of my study consists of 10 questions and 50
respondents.
The type of questions in my study is close ended.

RESEARCH DESIGN
DEFINITION
The research design is defined as the plan for
collecting and utilizing data so that desired
information can be obtained.
The research design is the master plan specifying the
methods and procedures for collecting and analyzing
the needed information.

TYPES OF RESEARCH DESIGN


There are mainly four types of research design. They are Exploratory
Descriptive
Diagnostic
Experimental
The type of research design which is used in the project is
exploratory research design. As it includes secondary data and
surveys.

DATA COLLECTION
DEFINITION
Data collection is a process of gathering information from various
sources. Data are primarily collected to provide information on
some specific topic.
TYPES OF DATA
1) Primary Data
2) Secondary Data
Primary data is collected from first hand experience.
Secondary data is collected from the sources which have
already been published like journals, books etc.
METHODS OF DATA COLLECTION
There are various methods of data collection like
1) Interviews
2) Questionnaires
3) Observation
The method which I have used in collecting the data is
questionnaire.
