GCP is the central data repository for all AT&T applications. It stores data from all applications of AT&T and provides
the same to the requesting applications on demand basis. In a nutshell, GCP is the data warehouse of AT&T.
ETL plays an important role in fetching data from all upstream applications and loading into GCP. During the process,
the data obtained from source are transformed according to the business rules involved in the respective projects.
In order to ensure the proper functioning of ETL process as per the business requirements, ETL testing is required.

Responsibility : This was the biggest code impacted project for ETL where in we have got a huge requirements.The
entire project was split up into different phases and we started testing with the Incoming feeds where in we receive
the data from applications like IBS, ECDB , AR Millenium , OSDB_PROFIL Data Load , GCSM, DW , GAMS , GBP ,
CSS Web , DTS , DPPCO , Intl ORACLE AR , BSD , SAUP. This many dependencies was there to get a feed as per the
requirements and helped the team to get the correct focus and share the DMA by the time we have the HLD.
It was also having a huge impact for testing the complex logic for the Engine Tables and followed up with the Team in
getting this tested and helped them when needed assistance. Also helped the team in testing the Parent jobs which is
the heart of this migration project and guided them as how to test the requirements since it needs to be tesed based on
the phases namely IDR,BDR1,BDR2,MIGRS etc and made them understand that this needs to be tested phase wise
and then only it can be tested like an E2E flow as how it should be running later in Production.
As per this project we did sent the Outgoing files to Applications like CFM , ROME , GAMS , GBP , CADM etc.
