1 Whats New In Version 1.5.1.11 SP2

1.1 Support New Door Locking Mechanism
To improve safety and door solenoid warming up, the door locking mechanism was
changed so the door is normally closed and the solenoid is only opened (activated)
when the door handle is pulled.
In the Diagnostics screen, a solenoid button was added to simulate the behavior of the
new door locking mechanism as described above.

1.2 Improved LED Functionality

The following table summarizes the LED functionality:
LED State
Steady Red
Steady Orange
Steady Green
Slowly flashing Green
Quickly flashing Green

Meaning
Scanner Door is opened while Rotation
Motor is working (during Scan, Moving
to Origin or Erasing).
Error is detected (not including Door
Error).
Scanner is idle.
Scanning or Erasing.
Moving to Origin, or the Scanner is in
intermediate state (for example, when
turning the Scanner On until FW is
loaded and the Drum is in stop position).

1.3 Noise Suppression by Spatial Median Filter

In certain cases, for example when Fuji imaging plates are used for intra-oral, the
image may have a high level of granularity. The median filter allows significant
removal of specific type of noise such as shot-noise, without attenuation edges or
image characteristics. For the dental image, the filter turns a grainy image into a softer
image without affecting the spatial resolution.

1.4 Change Value of Data_min

In the last version, it was found that the background gray level of the dental scans,
when scan is performed at no-correction mode, is 3800. This value is close to another
gray level threshold for detection of intra-oral plate present in the holder, which
currently is approximately 3750. An empty place in the holder with high noise level
below 3800 could therefore be detected as presence of plate.
To avoid such an occurrence, the data_min value was changed from 70 to 90 for all
configurations; cephalometric, panoramic and intra-oral.

2 Fixed Problems
2.1 Set Linearization as Default Data Correction Method
The default value of data correction method was set as Linearization.

2.2 Crash During Demo Mode

Added demo support for Fuji holders.

2.3 Preview Size

Fixed the sizes of all previews during scanning process.

3 Known Issues
3.1 Manual Origin View Problem (Windows XP)
Only in Windows XP. When saving the manual origin setup, the preview image is
distorted. This does not affect any data or the origin setup.

3.2 Immediate Abort of Scan and Re-scanning

Occurs only if working with scanner device with boot version 5.2.1.12 or 5.2.1.13.
When clicking Start scan and then immediately Abort, and then immediately Scan
again, wrong messages appear.

3.3 Scan Process is not Terminated

This occurs very rarely. During normal scan, preview image is not displayed, and the
scanner remains in scanning mode until it is turned off.
