Usage Decision for Inspection Lot

Definition:Inspection lot is the request to inspect. Any inspection in SAP can be
carried out only with inspection lot. Different inspection types were
defined in SAP.
Once the Inspection lot is available in the system, Result are to be
recorded according to the inspection plan.
After completing the result recording process, it has to be indicated to
the system, whether the inspection lot is accepted or rejected. This
process is known as Usage Decision.
While making the usage decision system will check whether all the
inspection characteristics have been properly process and status of
each characteristic should be 5 closed.
Usage Decision is entered through a codes and catalog. i.e to indicate
the lot is cleared, code with Pass or Accepted will be entered.
Depending upon the inspection lot type (relevancy to stock or not),
while making the UD, if the inspection lot is related to stock
(inspection type 01,04,08), material has to be moved from Quality
stock to unrestricted use stock or to any other stock according to the
inspection result.
Objective :This document explains how to take usage decision to an Inspection
Lot.
Prerequisites:Inspection Lot with result recording completed.
Menu path :Logistics Quality Management Quality Inspection Inspection
Lot Usage Decision QA11 - Record

1.

Press Twice on QA11 Record

2.

Maintain the following data:

Inspection
Enter value in
lot
Inspection lot.

Press the Enter

4.

In the Usage decision area of the SAP screen Press inside the UD

code field and Press the

Button.

Search button.

Press the appropriate usage decision.

6.

Press <tab button> Inspection lot stock

will appear only for those inspection

Note:- Tab Screen
type which are relevant to Stock.

Maintain the following data:
