2.1. What's the difference between shipping adress and billing adress?
ANSWER:
- The shipping address is where they send the package. This is where the brown b
ox with its shipping label and packing slips go to. The person addressed to is t
he recepient, who may or may not be the buyer himself.
- The billing address is where the invoice/account statement is sent. The perso
n addressed to here is the buyer of the item, and the one who will be charged fo
r its purchase. Typically comes in an electronic format (e-mail), but may be inc
luded in the package itself along with the packing slip (in case the buyer is th
e recipient of the package). If the item was purchased with a credit card, this
address should be the same as your credit card's billing address.

ANSWER:

ugh its other delivery channels (on amazon's or on the shipping company's side)
it should arrive on schedule. To be sure, monitor the package through its tracki
ng number.

PACKING SLIP/LIST
Also known as delivery lists/bills of parcel/shipping list/waybill/unpacking not
e/packaging slip/delivery docket/manifest/customer receipt.
Packing slips are documents that accompany goods when they are delivered. In mos
t cases, the document is placed inside the pouch, box, or other container that i
s used for the shipment. When multiple containers are included in the single shi
pment, the seller will often seal the slip in a clear plastic pouch and affix it
to the exterior of one of the boxes.
The packing slip is provided by the seller, for the recipient's reference, desig
ned to aid him or her in confirming that all items that were supposed to be incl
uded in the shipment have actually arrived. It also serves to inform other part
ies, including transport agencies and government authorities about the contents
of the package. It helps them deal with the package accordingly.
Many receivers use the shipping list as a guide or checklist when unpacking thei
r order. If something is missing from the box, they cross-check it with the ship
ping list and then alert the seller.
Typically it is an itemized detail of the package contents such as the order dat
e, the products included within the box, and the quantity of each product. Some
businesses may want to include the weight of the product next to the item. If t
he shipment does not completely fill the customer s order, it will often include d
ata regarding the status of those other items.
It typically does not include customer pricing, but in some cases, the packing s
lip will also include information regarding the charges associated with each ite
m. Data like the unit price of each item, the extended price for each type of i
tem if multiple units were shipped, any shipping and handling charges assessed,
and any taxes applied are often found on this type of detailed document. The det
ail is helpful, since it allows the recipient to check those figures against any
price quotes extended by the seller prior to the placement of the order.
ACCOUNT STATEMENT/INVOICE
While a packing slip can provide a great deal of detail, it normally does not se
rve as a bill of lading or an invoice.
An invoice accompanies the shipment, or be received electronically or by post at
a later date. An invoice goes to the person responsible for paying the bill whi
le the packing slip goes to the recipient. In some scenarios, the same person wi
ll pay the bill and receive the shipment. However, a person can buy and pay for
a product and send it to someone else (i.e. a gift).
An invoice will typically indcate:
date of order
items purchased
item price
other fees (shipping fees, discounts, import fees/duties if included)
payment method and billing information
instructions
In business settings, employees charged with overseeing shipping and receiving f
unctions will often use the slip to check off the items received, then forward i
t to the accounts payable department. The detail contained on the document is co
mpared to the detail on the invoice before payment for the order is approved. As
suming the comparison does not yield any discrepancies, the invoice is approved
and payment is remitted to the seller.
