United States is the worlds foremost economic and military power, a prominent cultural and

political force and leading in scientific research and technological innovations. Three most
significant aspects of the American supremacy can be classified as cultural, economic and the
most important military. Culturally, America has significantly influenced rest of the world.
Contemporary American music, movies and even cuisine has left a gigantic impact on rest of the
worlds cultures. Talking about economy, US is considered as the economic supergiant of the
world, controlling and influencing rest of the economies and trade markets. US defenses are
unmatched in any type of combat i.e. land, water or air. US has the largest defense budget in the
whole world which is practically equal to rest of the worlds and it also exceeds the budget of
Russia as well as China. Strategically, concerns related to US are exaggerated by ideas about it
going to war with the whole nondemocratic world. Dictatorial governments, as argued by some,
are considered to be weak and are in the constant need of support from nationalist and
expansionist ideologies and trials. These theories including that the internal strife and friction in
China is caused due to its internal structure have been grasped at by both the ideological groups
i.e. capitalists and conservatives (American right) and socialists and anarchists (American left).
Renowned political scientist, Aaron Friedberg comments that a progressive and democratic
China has nothing to fear or even using force against other democratic equivalents. He also adds
that the final objective of America should be to accelerate a pacifistic revolution that should
change Chinas dictatorship regime to a progressive democracy.
Immigration reform is the most disputatious effect on the face of country. Thought out as the
country of immigrants, millions of people migrate away from their homes to be a part of the
liberty offered by America. These immigrants are brought together by the chance to live the
American dream. Law and order is the major segment of this nation. Irrespective of the countries
of immigrants, America offers equal opportunities to work, live and to achieve their dreams as
long as they follow the laws and stay honest. Compliance and honesty towards law and order
make the American dream attainable.
While discussing about immigration reforms we must consider the above traditions as they are
intertwined with the history of America. It is a very well-known fact that the immigration system
has gone into a descent. Emotions of both the Americans as well as immigrants are conjured by
the immigration reforms. So, one has to understand both sides to get some ideas about these
reforms.
More than 11 million people immigrating illegally, this issue has divided and still continues to
divide America. People who support illegal immigration has following things to say in favor of
their ideology. They say that US economy is benefitted by illegal immigrants by providing
increased revenue from taxes, easy availability of cheap labor pool and increment in the
circulated money. They also support their statement by contending that these illegal immigrants
have their goals harmonious to the American dream, they bring aesthetic values, are willing to
perform any kind of jobs. They also imply that opposing immigration is somewhat racist in its
own way.
People who are in opposition of illegal immigration support their statement by stating that these
immigrants crossing the border without proper documents are breaking the law and should be

sent back to their native countries and should not be entertained to citizenship and other social
services. According to them, these illegal migrants are the criminal element of the society and are
hindrance to the economy and law abiding citizens. These immigrants have undergone various
persecutions in their native countries and they have come here to get a better life only for
themselves. They say that America should stop immigration to secure the privileges enjoyed by
the American citizens. In favor of this statement, they states the fact that some states reckon
immigrants as cheap labor, although, these workers do not meet the skill set required for the job
and are living on the cost of American taxpayers money.
