Air particles can be divided into two categories such as inhalable coarse
particles which it found near roadways and dusty industries are larger than
micrometers and smaller than 10 micrometers in diameter. The fine particle is the
other category which explained it found in smoke and haze, are 2.5 micrometers in
diameter and smaller. These particles can be directly emitted from sources such as
forest fires, or they can form when gases emitted from power plants, industries and
automobiles react in the air.
OBJECTIVE
APPARATUS
Weighing balance
Board (piece of box)
Adhesive tape
Scissors and cutter
PROCEDURE
1. Cut the center of the board with 4 different size. Prepare two samples for each
size.
2. Place an adhesive tape at the back of the board.
3. Adhesive tape can be used to attach the card to the location.
4. Weight and record each of the square samples by using weighing balance.
5. Select a suitable location for the sample which two indoor places and two
outdoor places.
6. Prepare and place two board samples in one location.
7. Two board with same size were placed in each location with different height.
8. Collect all the square samples after 3 days. Observe the samples and determine
the new weight of the board by using weighing balance.
9. Analyze the data by determine the different in present of air particles.

DISCUSSION
This experiment had been conducted to determine the level of air pollution
based on the different factor. Four factor had been chosen which is the location of
the sample, height, surface area of sample and weather.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, from the results we determine that difference height and places
will give differences result in air pollution. For example, air pollution at parking
motorcycle is more pollute than in the laboratory. This is causes by the smoke that
come from the vehicles that pollute the air surrounding. Differences in height also will
contribute to the result of the experiment. The air is more pollute in the lower height.
The reasons is the density of the air particle will cause it to settle down.
