Tarkio College alumni to


gather for events June 26-28
The Tarkio College Alumni Association will soon be
hosting a fun-filled alumni
weekend. This annual event
brings Tarkio College students and graduates back to
town to celebrate the college,
reminisce with old buddies,
and to take part in a number
of activities with the Tarkio
community. A schedule of
the activities follows:
FRIDAY, JUNE 26
11 a.m. - Tarkio Chamber
of Commerce Ribbon Cutting at Rankin Hall
1 p.m. - Golf Tournament
at the Tarkio Golf Course,
$15 (carts not included)
4 p.m. - Board Meeting at
Rankin Hall
7 p.m. - Meet and Greet at
Rankin Hall
SATURDAY, JUNE 27
7-10 a.m. - Breakfast Buffet (Biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, and sausage) at
the Tarkio Nutrition Center,
free will donation
7:30 a.m. - Doug Summa

Memorial 5K Run beginning


and end at the Doug Summa
Memorial Park (next to the
Tarkio Community Building), there is a registration
fee (see story for details)
10 a.m. - Section Stroll
along the section of country
roads behind the college
10 a.m. - Concert rehearsal at Rankin Hall
12 noon - Lunch at Rankin

2 p.m. - Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Rankin

All events are open to
the public. All area singers
are invited to attend the rehearsal on Saturday morn-

ing for the Sacred Music


Concert on Sunday. This is
a Raise the Roof event to
help raise money for replacing the roof on Rankin Hall.
All meal events are open
also, but paid reservations
are required by June 15 to
the office at P.O. Box 111,

Summa Memorial Park 5K
Run/Walk and Kids Fun
Run/Walk will be held on
Saturday, June 27, 2015.
The event will begin at the
Doug Summa Memorial
Park, located on S. 3rd St.
next to the Tarkio Community Building.
Registration for the 5K
Run/Walk starts at 8 a.m.
and the race begins at 9:30
a.m. There is a $20 pre-registration fee through June 8,
2015, that includes a T-shirt.
After June 8, the registration fee is $25. The Kids
Fun Run/Walk r e g i s t r a tion starts at 8 a.m. and the
race begins at 9 a.m. There
is a $10 pre-registration fee

through June 8, 2015, that


includes a T-shirt. After
June 8, the registration fee
is $15.
Children who want to
participate in both must
register for both, but only
one t-shirt will be provided.
Registration forms may be
picked up at Tarkio City
Hall or at Heartland Recreation Center in Tarkio.
Awards will be handed
out. Children three and
under who walk, run, or
get pushed in strollers will
receive a participation ribbon. The money collected
from this event will be given to the City of Tarkio for
improvements to the Doug
Summa Memorial Park.
