Hemophilia?
Hemophilia is a rare hereditary
bleeding disorder.
Person with Hemophilia(PwH) has
longer clotting time than normal
person
A Small Prick :
Normal Person takes 1-2
mins to clot
PwH will take > 30 mins

Hemophilia Cause?
MISSING clotting factor in blood
cause Hemophilia.
Factor-VIII or Factor IX
deficiency is seen in majority of
patients

Clotting needs 13
proteins called

1 in 5,000 males
suffer from
hemophilia

Women are Carriers

What happens?

Untreated swelling/bleeds in
joints/muscles leads to disability
Sometime it may lead to critical
condition and death

Treatment
Only medicine to treat any swelling
or bleeding is replacement of
missing clotting factor
Its very expensive
95% of our patients cannot afford
treatment

8 Years of our effort with government Ministers, Secretaries to
sensitize importance of Hemophilia Care Center has Dream
come true to our 900 patients and families. Ultimately God
heard our prayers and the prayers of every Hemophilic of the
state, we have been allocated 5000sq feet in Victoria Hospital
with a condition that the complete interior work should be
done by us. We have taken up this challenge with a firm belief
that we have a fantastic set of friends/supporters and
relatives who will come forward and help us achieve this
dream.
