Description
Sip Soft phone make two-party phone calls using an IP network such as the
internet. It is compatible with SIP and RTP protocols. It includes a large variety of
codecs. SIP is structured as a layered protocol, in that transaction layer is the third
layer. Transactions are a fundamental component of SIP. This module validates
message headers and assigns SIP request or response objects to a SIP transaction.
Further, it administers SIP transaction objects and calls the registered server module for
further processing of SIP messages. Finally, it passes outgoing messages to the
network handler according to the requested transport method. In the case of UDP
communication it additionally configures timers for re-transmitting lost packets. Any task
that a user agent client (UAC) accomplishes takes place using a series of transactions.
The aim of the parser is to process the abstract incoming data stream. The output is an
intermediate data structure, which from then on will be the only object for manipulation
through a well-defined interface.

SIP stack designing and Implementation,
Software Testing using GDB Debugger.

Description
RFC 3261 base SIP protocol is popular in VOIP signaling and offer flexibility to the
implementation to add customized features. Using MESSAGE method (RFC 3428) the
User Agent allows its users to have instant messaging session and implementation can
be easily extended to support voice. The design is structured in layers as specified in
RFC. The project is providing me hands on experience in working with SIP protocol. The
project has been developed in Red Hat 9.0 Linux PC platform using C programming
language.
Role and Responsibilities:

SIP stack Implementation

Software Testing using GDB Debugger

Description
In GSM technology the mobile service handover is implemented by using RSS
algorithm for decision Making based on the received signal strength successfully. It
greatly improves the performance of cellular network by reducing the unnecessary
handoffs which reduces the system traffic handling capacity and decrease the call
dropping probability. In this project implemented by using probability of coverage over a
circular area and also using power low propagation and lognormal shadowing. The
project has been developed using C programming language.
.Role and Responsibilities:
RSS Algorithm Implementation.
Software Testing.
