Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience.

What did you learn about technology
facilitation and leadership from
completing this field experience?

During the workshop we evaluated a

variety of software tools that are
meant to establish and support a
flipped classroom model. The
included synchronous online
programs such as Edmodo and
Schoology as well as screencast
softwares such as Camtasia. The
programs were all aimed at
expanding the walls of the
classroom.

2. How did this learning relate to the

knowledge (what must you know),
skills (what must you be able to do)
and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader?
(Refer to the standards you selected in

Meals

Part I. Use the language of the PSC

standards in your answer and reflect
on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
I had not using any of these software
programs at great length and this
program was an excellent way to
increase my knowledge and hone my
skills. I learned more about the
constructivist approach might look like
in a school implementation.

3. Describe how this field experience

impacted school improvement, faculty
development or student learning at
your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
After leaving the workshop I looked up a
variety of resources evaluating the
flipped model. Surprisingly many of the
resources I found cited an increase in
student performance and parent
involvement as a result of using the
flipped model. I think these offer great
incentives or buy ins for stake holders.
