Dear Mr.

O'Neill,
I am writing to you on behalf of Nessa Childers MEP, to thank you for your email and to
assure you that Ms Childers is very aware of the many issues of concern surrounding
the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).
It is expected that MEPs will now vote in the European Parliament in July on a text with
their official position, or Opinion as its termed, on the ongoing TTIP talks. The final trade
deal must have support from a majority of MEPs in a vote in a plenary session.
Recently, together with like-minded colleague, Nessa tabled an amendment to the text
going before parliament, demanding that Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS)
mechanisms be excluded from the trade agreement. This is on the grounds that the
judicial systems in place in the EU are perfectly adequate, and that foreign investors
should not be granted more rights than other persons and entities under our
jurisdictions. This is an absolute redline for Nessa, who has publicly committed to reject
the final text of the agreement if it includes a parallel, private arbitration panel that only
foreign multinationals can have recourse to.
Nessa has also tabled amendments at committee stage to the parliaments Opinion
on TTIP, some individually and some others in collaboration with like-minded colleagues
who share many of her concerns. With regard to the Environment and Public Health
committee opinion, her main focus was in opposition to an Investor-State Dispute
Settlement mechanism, health standards and the protection of Member States public
health provision models, where European and US traditions are starkly at odds and
many dangers lie in terms of our citizens access to affordable healthcare.
To encourage debate about this issue, Nessa is held a seminar on Friday 17th April in
Dublin. Please follow this link for a full video record of the days speeches and audience

Posted to all Senators TD's and MEP's who claim to represent Ireland.

A Chara
I understand that Fine Gael TD's and MEPs claim to speak for us all here and
in Europe. They claim to be Pro-TTIP. Following on their Coalition
Government's passing of the ESM (definitely something that will affect the
Exchequer) without reference to the electorate, they do not speak for me.
Please can you all wake up to the dangers of the Trade Agreements with The
United States of America and the Settlement Process required therein. This
settlement process will have results similar to the one in place with Canada
that recently cost the Canadian taxpayer MILLIONS of Canadian Dollars. We
cannot let America bleed us dry for setting standards!!!
Banning Sub-Standard American Produce Will Be Prevented by TTIP/TTP
This kind of safety conscious government action shown below, which acts on
behalf of the people, will NOT BE POSSIBLE if the TTIP and TTP are passed
because America has such shitty standards that setting ANY REASONABLE
STANDARD will cost these transnational corporations money, which they will
try to sue our governments for.
Why would any elected representative fail to look after his or her people?
The people running America literally do not give a damn about their
electorate. These fools have signed up to the statistical analysis of the
human population needing to be reduced by any means possible. So whether they
are poisoned or made infertile by an apple makes no difference to these mad
old white men. They do not have our best interests at heart.
Their only interest is self-interest and selling or forcing Fascist
Capitalism on the world.
