-Peak wave heights occur at highest SWL tested (+1.0m) for 100-year storm;
-An increase in wave height/depth ratio is noted at depths from ~-5m shoreward. This is similar to past Baird experience where breaking wave energy is released, causing turbulent conditions and 'jetting' at and just beloe the water line;
-No wave height reductions based upon wave obliquness have been applied. Therefore, calculated Hudson results are likely somewhat conservative;
-Directly comparing wave height values from the numerical model extraction and those from the physical model, it is found that the physical model results are considerably lower. This may be due to escaped energy in the physical model, beyond the influence of the wave guides;
-Therefore, us more critical (conservative) wave height values derived from numerical modelling runs, 0 and 20 degree incident wave directions, 100 and 570-year return storms.
