RECAP: The Rainiers scored a run in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead and runs in the 6th and 7th to tie the game 3-3, but it wasnt
enough as the Aces scored a run in the bottom of the 9th inning defeating Tacoma 4-3 on Friday night. CF James Jones (2x4, 2 R, 2B, BB,
SB) recorded the teams only multi-hit game, while LF/CF Leon Landry (1x4, RBI), RF Stefen Romero (1x3, 2B, BB, SB), 3B Carlos Rivero
(1x4, RBI), 1B John Hicks (1x4), 2B Zach Shank (1x4, R, HR, RBI), C Steve Baron (1x4, SB) and SS/LF Leury Bonilla (1x4) each collected
1 of the Rainiers 9 hits. Starter Andrew Kittredge (5.0,5,3,3,0,3,HR) allowed 3 runs on 5 hits over 5.0 innings, but did not factor into the
decision. LH Tyler Olson (2.0,1,0,0,2,4) held the Aces scoreless over the 6th and 7th innings. LH Edgar Olmos (1.2,4,1,1,1,2,WP) tossed a
scoreless 8th inning, but allowed a RBI walk-off single with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th inning to record the loss.
HEY NOW YOU ARE AN ALL-STAR: The Pacific Coast League announced that Tacoma Rainiers infielders Jesus Montero and Ketel Marte,
along with right-handed pitcher Forrest Snow will represent the PCL in the First National Bank Triple-A All-Star Game. The contest will be held
at Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. CST and will be televised on MLB Network. Montero and Ketel were
selected as starters, while Snow was selected to the team as a reserve. This marks the second consecutive season that multiple Rainiers
players will start for the PCL in the Triple-A All-Star Game. Infielders Chris Taylor, Nick Franklin, and Gabriel Noriega started for the PCL in
2014 and were joined by right-handed pitcher Logan Kensing.
TRIPLE-A HOME RUN DERBY: Jesus Montero, Cody Decker and Peter O'Brien of the Pacific Coast League along with Jesus Aguilar, Dariel
Alvarez, Matt Davidson of the International League, have been named the six Triple-A All-Star representatives to participate in the 2015 TripleA All-Star Home Run Derby, powered by Omaha Public Power District (OPPD). The Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 13 at
Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska, at 7:35 p.m. CST, leading up to the 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 15.
OF NOTE:

This season the Rainiers have recorded 10 or more hits in 41 games, including 16 in the last 27 gamesthe Rainiers are batting .280

Shank hit his first AAA home run on July 10 at Reno, a solo home run with 1 out in the 7th inning.

RH Forrest Snow is 7-5 with a 2.55 ERA (23 ER, 81.1 IP) in 19 games, 12 starts with Tacoma.
o Since May 30, Snow is 6-1 with a 2.18 ER (11 ER, 45.1 IP) in 8 games, 7 starts...during this stretch, he has limited opponents to a

ROY HOWELL TAKES OVER AS MANAGER: The Seattle Mariners announced that hitting coach Roy Howell would assume managerial
duties for the Jackson Generals for the remainder of the 2015 season beginning June 30. Jim Horner, who had managed Seattles Double-A
affiliate since the beginning of last year, recently accepted an assistant coaching position at Washington State University. It marks the secondconsecutive season that Howell has taken over as manager for a Seattle affiliate. Last March, he replaced Rich Donnelly as the manager at
Triple-A Tacoma after Donnelly was named the Mariners third-base coach in Spring Training. He led the Rainiers to a 74-70 mark, and his 74
victories were tied for the 9th-most by a manager in his first full season. Howell, in his 4th season with the Mariners organization, spent 2012
and 2013 with the High Desert Mavericks in the California League. His managerial resume includes three seasons at short-season Eugene
(2003-05), three seasons with San Luis of the California Collegiate League (2007-10) and one season leading the field staff for the Road
Warriors of the independent Atlantic League (2011). A former first-round selection by Texas in the 1972 draft, Howell logged time in the PCL
as a player with Spokane (1974) and Portland (1985), as well as three seasons as a hitting coach with Portland (2000-02).

Seattle Mariners minor league SS Ketel Marte and RHP Edwin Diaz have been selected to represent the World team in the 17th annual
SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game to be played on Sunday, July 12th at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, as part of All-Star weekend.
Marte, 21, fractured his left thumb on May 31 vs. Round Rock and was placed on the Tacoma disabled list on June 1. He is currently rehabbing
at the Peoria Sports Complex, but is expected to be ready and able to play in the Futures Game. Marte hit safely in 42 of 51 games with 19
multi-hit contest, batting .343 (68x198) with 30 runs scored, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 24 RBI, 18 walks and 17 stolen bases with AAA
Tacoma. At the time of his injury (through game on May 31), Marte led the PCL in average (.343/68x198), games (51) and hits (68), while
ranking 2nd in stolen bases (17) and at-bats (198) and 3rd in lowest TPA/SO ratio (11.05). Marte was signed as a non-drafted free agent on
Aug. 13, 2010. Over 5 seasons in the Mariners organization, he is batting .292 (487x1670) with 271 runs scored, 66 doubles, 19 triples, 162
RBI, 104 walks and 97 stolen bases in 427 games.
Diaz, 21, is currently pitching for AA Jackson in the Southern League. In 16 starts between A Bakersfield and AA Jackson, Diaz is 4-6 with a
3.74 ERA (36 ER, 86.2 IP), including going 2-6 with a 5.26 ERA (29 ER, 49.2 IP) in 9 starts with the Generals. Overall he has limited opponents
to a .237 (75x317) average, while walking 28 and striking out 86 in 86.2 innings. Diaz was the Mariners 3rd round selection in the 2012 MLB
First-Year Player Draft ouf of Caguas Military Acedemy in Puerto Rico. Over his first 4 professional seasons, Diaz is 17-16 with a 3.11 ERA (98
ER, 284.0 IP) in 61 games/53 starts.
The Mariners have had 35 selections (including Marte and Diaz) to the Futures Game since its first began in 1999. Six players on the current
25-man roster (+DL) played in the Futures Game in the past: Robinson Cano (2003-04), Nelson Cruz (2005), Felix Hernandez (2004),

Ontario (baseball competition to be held in Ajax), July 10 to 19. The U.S. roster features 24 players not currently on Major League Baseball 40man rosters. The Pan Am Team gathered in Cary, N.C., at the USA Baseball National Training Complex where it will train from July 4 to 8. The
U.S. departed for Toronto for the Pan American Games where it will look to win its first Pan Am gold since 1967. First round action kicks off on
July 11, against Puerto Rico at the Presidents Choice Ajax Pan Am Ballpark. The 2013 World Baseball Classic Team was the latest
professional team fielded by USA Baseball. In the most recent Pan American Games, the 2011 club earned the silver medal with a 3-2 record,
