Its a normal sunny summer day in Washington D.C. in the year

2036. As the average workday comes to an end everyone is driving or
hovering home to get to their friends and family, Roger Albany is left
alone to continue his work in his laboratory. Roger is an astronomer
that studies physical cosmology: the study of the origin, evolution, and
fate of the universe. He is five foot eleven inches with dark blonde hair
and a ton of freckles. Growing up Roger did not have too many friends.
He was always known to be an introvert that would eventually be
working in a lab alone one day.

As months went by the government realized that Roger was one

of the most brilliant scientist to ever be born. With an IQ of 235, Roger
was able to provide the government with important information
pertaining to the universe that most scientists could not provide. But
as time went on Roger realized that he needed assistance in his
laboratory. Being that he was a loner, it was extremely difficult for him
to find two people that he was comfortable working with. After
extensive interviews Roger ended up hiring both Susan Nettle, a
physicists, and Nathan Polam, a meteorologist. Together these
scientists were able to combine their alternative ways of thinking to
solve problems that were unsolvable to most scientists.
Susan comes from a family of four with two sons and a husband.
One of her sons has Aspergers syndrome, which means he has a hard
time in social situations. Being that she is used to taking care of her
son daily, she is able to communicate well with others who are not as
much as an extrovert as she is. This allowed Susan to work well with
Roger. As for Nathan, he was a brilliant man as well. Although Nathan
was extremely intelligent he lacked one thing, patience. This
sometimes became an issue between Roger and him. Susan is always
found being caught in the middle of their issues. If it were not for her
Roger and Nathan would always be bickering. Having two sons, one

with a disability and one without, has allowed Susan to understand how
to best control their intense situations.
For the past 6 years Nathan has been keeping track of an
asteroid that he calls UD 413. This asteroid is half of Earths size but
weighs just as much, if not more, than Earth. Originally when Nathan
first started looking into UD 413 it was between Mercury and Venus.
As years went by Nathan started to notice a shift in its path and
brought it to Susan and Rogers attention. Roger mentioned to them
that its very difficult to be able to continuously calculate the orbit of
asteroids due to the fact that their trajectories are consistently being
changed by the gravitational pull of the planets surrounding it. But the
scientists knew that this was something they could not avoid.

As more years passed they noticed that the asteroid only got
closer and closer to Earth. Although they wanted to bring it to the
governments attention they knew it would only cause chaos
everywhere in the nation, if not worldwide. The scientist knew that
eventually the asteroid would either continue to pass more planets,
including Earth, or that there was a possibility that this asteroid would
collide into their planet just like the one in pre historic times. The
asteroid is so large and heavy that the scientist knew that in the
possibility of it striking Earth it could end all life on the planet.
Roger, Nathan, and Susan knew they had no time to waste. They
hoped for the best but knew they had to prepare for the worst. They
had a few more months until they could tell what was going to happen.
If the world was coming to an end they knew there would be very little
people that they could save and that those people needed to be the
most intelligent people on Earth in order to survive. Nathan and Roger
were a little calmer about the situation. It was Susan who was a lot
more concerned. She knew that there was a chance that she would
have to leave her children and husband behind.
The three scientists started to contact other important scientist
from other countries so that they could all get together to create a

plan. The first country they got in contact with was Russia.
Considering that Russia is known for their technological advances in
space expeditions they knew that they could get a ton of help from
them. In the year 2046, Russia created the first space ship to be
powered by molecular hydrogen, the most common gas found in outer
space. This would allow them to travel for as long as they needed
without the concern of getting stuck in the middle of space.
The two main people that created this space ship were named
Kazimir Avilov and Motya Banin, both being aerospace engineers.
Roger, Nathan, and Susan got in contact with these two engineers in
order to explain what could possibly happen to the Earth in the next
few months. Nathan went ahead and sent over all the information he
had been collecting with Susan and Roger for the past few years so
that they could see for themselves what was about to occur. Kazimir
and Motya both decided that it would be best if they joined the three of
them in order to not only save themselves but also the end of
mankind.
Kazimir and Motya started to explain to the three scientists the
logistics of the space ship they created. It could accommodate up to 8
people and could travel on autopilot as long as you put in the
interstellar coordinates to where they needed to travel. The only
problem was that they did not have a plan and they still had room for 3
more people. Earlier on in Motyas life he did some studies in China.
While living there for 6 years he not only learned to speak Chinese but
also met a scientist that was studying the universe in order to find
other planets similar to Earth. Motya went ahead and contacted his
friend, Bai Chen, to see if he would be willing to work with the 5 of
them.

Bai worked closely with another scientist named Jun Keung.

Before agreeing to work with them he had to make sure that Jun was
fine with speaking about their discoveries with the other scientists and

engineers. Motya translated everything that was going on to the two

men and told them they had less then a few months till they knew the
destiny of what would happen to Earth. Bai and Jun had a hard time
believing that any of that information could be true but at the same
they were still worried that their life could come to an end.
Before agreeing to work with the 5 of them Bai and Jun decided
to do their own research on the matter. After 2 weeks passed by
Nathan noticed that the asteroid started traveling faster and was
heading straight towards Earth. They had no time to waste. Motya
then contacted Bai and Jun to let them know but they already figured it
out for themselves. Nathan, Roger, and Susan fled for Russia and so
did Bai and Jun. It was time for them to rush and make a plan. It was
estimated that in less then 3 weeks the world, as they knew it, would
come to an end.
By collaborating the minds of 7 geniuses they were able to come
up with a great plan. There only fear was that they would not make it
out alive. Bai and Jun brought all their research and finally revealed to
the others that in their studies they found a planet similar to Earth a
few light years away. They named the planet Urilan. Although Urilan
was very similar to Earth it was still very different. Urilan had 2 moons
and a sun similar to the one that Earth orbited. The planet has water
and plants as well. All these things were enough to provide a life to
humans just like Earth. Their only concern once arriving, if they even
arrived, would be figuring out how to start civilization all over again.

One big problem was that it would take up to 20 years to get

there, maybe even more. Being that Jun and Susan were the only
females, they knew they would have to be the ones to bare children
once they got to Urilan in order to start a new world. So the 7 of them
came up with their plan. As they kept a close eye on the asteroid, they
would leave Earth with a week left to spare. Before leaving, all the
scientist packed books that could help them restart a new planet. They

packed various forms of books that talked about procreation, farming,

etc. Basically all books based around the fundamentals of life.
After leaving Earth on Kazimar and Motyas space ship they
would all freeze themselves in cryo-sleep for 25 years in hope that
when they woke up they would be close to planet Urilan. When
awaking from cryo-sleep they would have enough food and water on
the spaceship to last them another 5-10 years depending on how
crucial they were with saving it.
The plan was set in stone and the 7 of them were 2 weeks away
from leaving Earth before its destruction. When all of a sudden the
Russian government hacked all 7 of their systems and figured out what
was about to happen to the world. Word spread like wild fire and panic
spread throughout every continent! Suicides were happening left and
right and some even tried creating under ground hiding places in
hopes that they would survive. But there was nothing any body could
do. As the world began to fall apart the 7 of them knew they were
going to have to leave right at that very moment.
They had little, if not no time, to leave before the Russian
government attempted to take the space ship for themselves. But
Nathan, Roger, Susan, Kazimir, Motya, Bai, and Jun knew that they
were the only ones that knew what to do in that situation. They were
experts at what they did and if there were any chance of anyone
surviving this terrible disaster it would be them. Susan cried as she
received her final phone call from her husband and children but she
knew there was nothing that she could do. As she said her final
goodbyes the seven of them boarded the space ship.
They all laid back in their seats all strapped up as the count
down began. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 (loud boom goes off as they
take off). Going full speed they blasted off into space just in time to
avoid the Russians. The 7 of them counted down till they knew Earth
would be destroyed. As they looked back at Earth, 2 weeks later, they
saw the asteroid hit. This was devastating to them all. As they sat on
the ship filled with sorrow they decided it was time for them to go into
cryo-sleep. They set the timer for the machine to 25 years and
plugged in the coordinates to Urilan. And so their 25 years of
hibernation commenced.

As years passed by the space ship continued to travel on its own.

Earth was no longer in existence and billions of people from a world
filled with years of technology advancement no longer existed. After
25 years passed the 7 of them awoke from cyro-sleep. All of them
were a tad puzzled but right when they woke up they knew they had to
be closer to Urilan.
As they continued to travel through space they brushed up their
knowledge from the books they had packed with them. They hoped
that they would be arriving to Urilan soon. Two years passed and then
another three. They realized they were going to run out of food shortly
and were unsure of how much time they had till their arrival.
They all hoped that they could one day reach this planet but
even with the Earth gone there was one thing that they knew would
never change and that was time. You can control a space ship. You can
control procreation. You can control technology. But time, thats
uncontrollable.
