1.1 Overview:
ATM System is an online project, It can manage & monitor all the transactions of the users who have
been issued ATM Card by the Bank. This system not only allow users to access their Bank Accounts
but also updates the respective Banks about the transactions what they have done.
Since the ATM System is designed for the existing user, creating the account will be done by admin
only.For each time the user tries to enter the ATM need to use the same password which is entered
at very first transaction (unless the user password with the option of the ATM System).Once the user
name and the password with the option of the ATM screen would appear Enter your Card Number &
Pin code buttons along with the keypad.
An ATM system consists of authenticating a user based on an account number and PIN, followed by
creating and executing transactions. To authenticate a user and perform transactions, the ATM must
interact with the banks account information database. For each account, the database stores an
account number, PIN and a balance indicating the amount of money in the account.

1.2 Objective:
Some of the main objective for ATM System are given below
To ease the functioning of the Bank.
To avoid delays.
To increase the existing systems efficiency and reliability as a whole by many times.
To reduce effort involved in processing the transaction.
Its developed for smooth functioning.
To provide transparent system to all the account holders of the bank.
Reduction in time taken in execution of activities.

1.3 Existing System:
Earlier all the transaction is done manually which requires lot of paper work. Manual works make the
maintenance difficult and also increases possibility of the discrepancies in data. Even data retrieving
also becomes hectic with this system. To avoid the wastage of time bank has approached you to
make the Automated System.
1.4 Proposed System:
An automated teller machine (ATM) is a computerized that provides the clients the financial institution
without the need for the cashier. The client is identified by inserting unique card number and some
security information. A user can assess the ATM (Automated Teller Machine) system/screen only
after entering the correct user name and the password on the very first screen which is installed on
the ATM room.
The user name should be the unique card number provided to the user and the password can be any
numeric number of four digits which is called as PIN (Personal Identification Number).

1.4 BENEFITS OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:

1. ATM provides 24 hours service
ATMs provide service round the clock. The user can withdraw cash upto a certain a limit during any
time of the day or night.
2. ATM gives convenience to bank's users
ATMs provide convenience to the users. Now-a-days, ATMs are located at convenient places, such as
at the air ports, railway stations, etc. and not necessarily at the Bank's premises. It is to be noted
that ATMs are installed off-site. (away from bank premises) as well as on site (installed within bank's
premises). ATMs provide mobility in banking services for withdrawal.
3. ATM reduces the workload of bank's staff.
ATMs reduce the work pressure on bank's staff and avoids queues in bank premises.
4. ATM provide service without any error
ATMs provide service without error. The user can obtain exact amount. There is no human error as far
as ATMs are concerned.
5. ATM is very beneficial for travellers
ATMs are of great help to travellers. They need not carry large amount of cash with them. They can
withdraw cash from any city or state, across the country and even from outside the country with the
help of ATM.
6. ATM provides privacy in banking transactions
Most of all, ATMs provide privacy in banking transactions of the user.
