Narrator-School has just ended at Ridegway High, and the school’s
cutest couple, Sophia and Kaylix have just met up in the hall.
Sophia “Can you give me a ride home?”
Kaylix “Umm no I…..I can’t. I have to do somthing”
Sophia “Where to?”
Kaylix “No where important.”
Sophia “Oh, Okay I guess I can always walk.”
Kaylix “Sounds good, I will see you tonight at the libray. ”
Sophia “Okay, I will see you then, don’t be late”
Kaylix “I won’t”

Act One Scene Two

Narrator-What Kaylix has never told Sophia is that he is in a street
gang, and that is where he is headed to.
Kaylix “Hey Jack, we need to talk”
Narrator-Jack is head of the gang
Jack ”Okay, hey guys Kaylix and I will be right back.”
Narrator-Kaylix and Jack turn the corner to talk in private
Kaylix-“I want out man, this life isn’t right for me.”
Jack-“What? You can’t just back out now! You made a commitment to
me and to the guys for life! Just because you realize you are in love
with your girlfriend, it doesn’t mean you can just walk out on us!”
Kaylix-“Jack, I am in love with Sophia, she deserves more than this,
and I think she loves me too. I can’t blow this.”
Jack-“Fine, if you want to walk than walk.”
Kaylix-“Come on Jack, this is what’s best”
Jack-“Get out of here Kaylix, you don’t belong here anymore”
Narrarator-Kaylix walks off, but Jack suddenly leaves too

Act One Scene Three

Sophia-(talking to herself) “I hate walking home, I wonder what Kaylix
had to do that was so important that he couldn’t drop me off?”
Jack-“Need a ride home?”
Sophia-“Umm, no I am fine.”
Jack-“Oh sorry, I am Kaylix’s friend, he is my coz.”
Sophia-“Oh well in that case sure”
Jack-“Okay, my car is over here.”

Narrator-They have now settled in the car and are pulling out of the
school parking lot
Sophia-“I live off of Elm”
Jack-“Yeah I know, Kaylix mentions you a lot”
Sophia-(blushing) “Oh, well that is sweet of him”
Jack-“Yeah, he is a good guy” (Jack is lying)
Sophia-“yes, he really is. Umm, Elm is the other way”
Jack-“yes, I know that too”
Narrator-Sophia is starting to get suspicious now.
Jack-“One thing, I just have to make a quick stop.”
Sophia-“Oh, okay. Thanks for taking me, by the way.”
Jack-“It is my pleasure.”
Narrator-Jack pulls up to an abandon warehouse, and Sophia’s
suspicion raises.
Sophia-“What is this place?”
Jack-“This would be my quick stop.” (parks and turns off the car)
Sophia-“Oh, I can just wait here, until you are done.”
Jack-“Don’t be silly, I would never leave you out here alone. Come on it
will be fine. It’s really naught important.”
Sophia Well, if you insist.
Jack-“I do.” (he opens her door.)
Sophia Thank You
Jack-“Okay so it’s just through thither.” (he opens the doors for her)
Sophia-“Well, it sure is dark in here.”
Jack-“Oh yeah, let me get the lights.”
Narrator But of course, Jack does not get the light, but instead grabs a
potato sack and some string.
Jack-“Awe hither, just what I need.”
Sophia-“Hey! Help! Help!”
Narrator Now Jack has gotten Sophia into the sack and tied it up, then
he gets the lights.
Sophia-“Oww what is in here, Oh look at that a potato is still in here.”
Jack-“Sorry my darling but it is for the best, as he tosses her into a
locked room.”

Act Two Scene One

Narrator-Later this evening Kaylix is at the library, awaiting Sophia.
Kaylix-(talking to himself)-“Whence is Sophia? She always gets here
before me. Something is not right.”
Narrator-Kaylix then heads over to where Jack and the rest of the gang
usually meat up.
Kaylix-“Hey Jack, have you seen Sophia?”
Jack-“Sophia?”
Kaylix-“Yes, my girlfriend!”
Jack-“Oh right right, I believe you have mentioned her once or twice.”
Kaylix-“Yeah, where is she.”
Jack-“Well, you see she is a bit unavailable right now.”
Kaylix-“What did you do man?! Where is she?!”

Jack-“She is perfectly fine in a place of my choosing. You see, I took her
from you for collateral.”
Kaylix-“Collateral? For what?”
Jack-“You infact.”
Kaylix-“Me?”
Jack-“You see Kaylix, when we chose you to be apart of our group, you
were sworn in for life! Once a member, always a member. You wot
what happens if someone suddenly decides that they want out.”
Kaylix-“Jack, come on man, there has got to be another way.”
Jack-“Well there is, it is your life, or hers, but someone will die for what
you have done.”

Act Two Scene Two

Narrator-Meanwhile, Sophia is stuck in the locked room of the
warehouse.
Sophia-“I think I almost got it, yes out of the potato sack! Uhh, there
really was a potato in there! Now, the question is, how do I get out of
here? Umm, well let’s try the door, nope locked. Ceiling tile? Of course
that is only in the movies, because this ceiling is concrete. Hmm, well I
could always try to knock the door down.”
Narrator-After a few attempts she gave up on that.
Sophia-“Well I guess I just have to wait here until someone finds me. If
all else fails, I have one potato.”
Narrator-Back at the Gang meeting….
Jack-“We will give you one hour Kaylix. You have to stay here, and if
we do not find you here when we get back, then your girlfriend will pay
for that mistake.”
Kaylix-“Can you at least leave me with one goodbye?”
Jack-“Nope, but here is a piece of paper, make what you will with it.
Lets move out boys. God-en.”

Act Two Scene Three

Narrator-By now, Sophia has gone into a bad place of depression and
anxiety, not knowing what is going on or what will happen.
Sophia-“Wherefore has thy soul been taken away? For the love of thy
Kaylix has been astray. Will our faces meet again? Or has all hope
become dead. Prithee bring him here, before I shed another tear. Let
him find me anon, I will give ‘a aught. An e’er I am set free, hie I shall
flee. With one simple wish I would ask to see his face, and be out of
this horrid place. Back home safe and sound, not having to worry
whether I will be found. I have faith in the one that I love, that he will
somehow save me, I just hope, that no harm shall come to he.”
Narrator-While Sophia sinks back into her deep thoughts, Kaylix does
so too, with his tough decision at hands.
Kaylix-“I can’t believe I got myself into this mess. Life and death, crazy
thing to just toss around. I think I know what I must do. It’s not fair to
me, but it is extremely not fair to Sophia. I shall write her a letter
explaining my decision.”

“My dearest Sophia, my darling, my love.
I love you with all my heart, and I live for you and you
alone. With every intention of marrying you and loving you
forever, I write this letter. Hence now I am faced with the
hardest decision of my life, saying goodbye to you. I wish
things didn’t have to end like this, and if I knew where you
were I would run to you now. Sadly, that is not the case
nor is it our reality. Just so you are aware of the situation, I
have been apart of a gang, with Jack at the head. Today I
couldn’t give you a ride home because I was going to meet
with Jack to tell him I wanted out. Well I was recently
informed that things can not be done that way. Now a life
must die because I broke the lifelong commitment to the
gang. I must choose mine or yours. To me this is a simple
decision but the action alone will not br easy. This is so
unfair to you, and I am sorry to cause you all of this pain. I
don’t want you to live an unhappy life, I want you to be
able to live on, remember me, and love life. I love you
Sophia, with all my heart. To you I say farewell, as I fulfill
my Romeo duties, but I ask of you to not do as Juliet did.
As I said ere, live a wonderful and happy life. I love you!
-Kaylix”

Kaylix-“And now, as Romeo was willing to die for Juliet, I shall die for
my Sophia. My life is o’er and my love is yonder.”
Narrator-Kaylix then grabs his knife and stabs it though his heart.
Narrator-a bit later, the gang returns, one hour had passed on the dot
Jack-“By Mary! Now to take care of his girl, a letter I see. I shall respect
his wishes and set her free.”
Narrator-Jack, sticking to his word goes back to the abandon
warehouse to release Sophia.
Jack-(now opening the door to the room Sophia is locked in)-“Awe there
you are, I was starting to worry.”
Sophia-“Yeah right! Where is Kaylix?”
Jack-“Calm sirrah.”
Narrator-Jack then hands the letter over to Sophia.
Sophia-“What is this? Where is Kaylix?!”
Jack-“Just read it and go, it explains everything.”
Sophia-“Okay then.”
Jack-“God gi’ go-den.”
Narrator-Sophia leaves and walks down to the park where she sits on
the swings, where her and Kaylix would just sit and talk. Soft, she
opened the letter and read it with much difficulty, and with that she
cried her sorrow away till morrow, just longing for her love back.
