Recap & Outlook for August


The Manhattan Beach real estate market slowed a bit in July with several major data points trending negative. These stats include
a single digit drop in total sales and double digit declines for median sales price, median days to sell, and the sales/listing ratio.
Coincidently, similar trending behavior was recorded in July of 2014.
In the news According to C.A.R., Statewide sales were above the 400,000 mark for the fourth straight month while available
housing supply remains constrained at 3.3 months of inventory
(http://www.car.org/newsstand/newsreleases/2015releases/july2015sales?view=Standard).

Despite the markets anticipation of the Feds action to influence the rise in interest rates sometime this year, I suspect a healthy
buyer-seller relationship to continue as mortgage money remains at all-time historic lows.
