Our mission is to identify and meet the


needs of the whole child by providing a

The 8th Grade Academy Organization

The 8th Grade Academy will be organized in a


similar fashion to that of Jockey Hollow School.

• There will be three academic teams.


• Each team will consist of four to five teachers.
• The teams will consist of Math, Science,
Language
g g Arts and Social Studies.
• There will be approximately 110 students per
team.

The 8th grade students will have a separate entrance

The gymnasium, music rooms, cafeteria, and library will be


used by the students in 8th grade. Major passing times will be
staggered for high school and 8th grade students allowing 8th
grade students in the halls when Masuk students are in class.

areas for their Physical Education classes. The Masuk
students will use the other three areas.

There are two sets of locker rooms at Masuk. The 8th grade
students and the 9th grade students will use the “pool locker
rooms” to change
