Tips to avoid being driven to distraction

NORTH AMERICAN PRECIS SYNDICAE
Texting while driving has received a
great deal of attention lately, and with
good reason: Keeping your eyes on a tiny
keyboard rather than the roadway ahead
is a disaster waiting to happen. However,
texting is just the latest in a long list of
distractions that could have deadly con-
sequences on America’s roadways.
“Safe driving is about focus,” said
Bill Moore, president of MetLife Auto &
Home. “Many accidents could be avoid-
ed if the basic principles of defensive
driving and driver attentiveness were
observed.”
To stay focused on safety, drivers
may want to ask themselves the follow-
ing questions:
■ Are you keeping your eyes on the
prize? With cars more than ever resem-
bling mobile offices and entertainment
centers, it can be easy to forget you’re
behind the wheel. Most accidents occur
in seconds and distractions delay your
reaction time.
■ Are you awake enough to drive?
Driver fatigue leads to inattentiveness,
and according to the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration, 100,000
crashes are caused each year by driv-
ers literally being asleep at the wheel.
Recognize the signs of drowsy driving,
which include difficulty focusing, fre-
quent blinking, irritability and frequent
yawning--and then, take action. Simple things like changing the radio and rearview indicators, the basics you personal problems or work assignments.

Dear Friends,
As you have probably heard, Fox Stanton Ford closed its’ doors on February 4, 2010. Unfortunately, the
current economic conditions make it difficult for small business’, especially small automobile dealerships,
to survive. We held on as long as we could.
On a more upbeat note I transferred to our “big brother” store – Fox Ford located in Grand Rapids. Fox
Ford is the largest Ford dealership outside of Detroit! Chances are if Ford makes it, we have it in stock, and
if not, I’ll have no problem getting it for you!

Those of you who know me, I have been selling new Ford cars and trucks for over 28 years. Moving to Fox
Place a 25 Ford allows me to work from a huge vehicle inventory. If you are in need of a new Ford, please call or e-mail
me. I also have a huge used vehicle inventory to work from. You can also check out our inventory online at
Word Ad www.forxfordusa.com. We can arrange delivery right to your home or business – no charge!
We have everything under one large roof – Sales, Service, Parts, Body Shop. We have late night & Saturday
for only ($10.00 Each Additional Word)
Service & Parts hours for your convenience. Mon. & Wed. 7:30 am - 7 pm, Tues., Thurs., Fri. 7:30 am - 6
pm and Sat. 8 am - 3 pm.
THE I thank you for your past patronage and look forward to serving you in the future! I will do everything
PIONEER possible to make it worth your trip to Fox Ford!
