ON OUR MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

to raise funds for our Election Campaign

This location is now an EDA office for the Marijuana Party
This protects us from having to obey arbitrary by-laws
AND no CDSA regulations can be enforced on us.
We operate under our Party policy of our
Declaration to be a member being FREE
WHY IS THIS DONE? Prior to 2007, all party members
had to be published on a list, and Blair Longley [our leader]
won the right to have an anonymous membership, in order to protect our
membership from being discriminated by an employer [for example] So,
we got the SCC to give us privacy rights for our members, [like a union]
HOW DOES IT WORK? If we charge for this membership, like other
parties do, then this receipt compromises this anonymous status,
so the offer is to give it for free. When any eligible voter wants to get
services from your dispensary, then we give him our Declaration form
for free and advise them that this membership is so secret that they
hold the only copy. This means that: If this declaration is not on their
person, when they need to show it to a cop [for example]
means there's no way to prove that it was not backdated
SOLUTION: By subscribing to any EDA agency to be a
Member means our EDA registers this resident to be an
individual in our private District record, and frankly the
only way to bind this trust is by the member giving a
donation, AND if the donation is under $20.01, then it's anonymous.
The minimum donation to register a member is $5.
and if giving more then $20. means this donation
will be registered as a tax-deductible transaction,
By signing this EDA agency's Membership, means this
individual now gets a Photo ID Card, where our annual co-op
membership fee is also tax deductible. This card can now
be accepted at any EDA agency in our network in BC.
Those who want to be totally anonymous can continue to do so, by
showing their individual Declaration and another ID, in order to be
respected as a party member, who desires to remain anonymous.
FROM NOW UNTIL ELECTION DAY [Oct 19th]
The function of this membership drive is to raise
campaign funds for our candidate in that member's riding
AND after the election, these income tax deductible funds
on your membership will go to the EDA that signs you up
THE BENEFITS OF HOLDING PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL STATUS UNDER
COMMON LAW GO FAR BEYOND THIS RIGHT TO YOUR MEDICINE

YES WE CAN WIN THIS ELECTION. [this needs explaining]

People hold a false illusion, when they say voting for the
Marijuana Party is a wasted vote, because we will never
get elected as a MP. [we accept that we might not win this]
BUT does that mean we should just give-up?

NOTE: Under the Canada Elections Act, we gain

'certain' rights, by getting 5% of the voters at the polls
getting 10% of all registered voters under BC Elections Act
rules proved to be impossible to get. BUT Under the Act,
we're given 'in good standing rights' to really protect our
minority beliefs, because we gain a 'voice' by carrying 5% of the vote
THIS GETTING 5% IS ACTUALLY ACHIEVABLE IN BC ESPECIALLY
With a 5% of the vote The City and its police must respect our rights as
enshrined minority beliefs, because the Judges in BCSC must grace us
with holding a community voice because they are duty bound to protect
our Sec 1 Charter right to common law application of R v Oakes/Therens
All major political parties promote that you need to vote for
the lesser of two evils, by insisting that voting for them is the
only way to not get the other guy to win, as their only solution.
It's called strategic voting. Where they sell you into believing
that all politicians are corrupt, so vote against the worst...
STRATEGIC VOTING is counterproductive, & a wasted vote
This selling out is why good people stop voting and why nothing changes
BOTTOM LINE: Voting for a good cause is voting with
your heart, & that's always a very satisfying experience
IN BC, IT'S SATISFACTION GUARANTEED because in
politics there's this Golden Rule: If any candidate /party
can attract the youth and the disenfranchised to vote will
win by a landslide AND all we need is 5% of the votes cast.
Since the election writ dropped, we have candidates in all 7
Vancouver Districts, but most of the other BC districts are
still open to start an EDA. They can start up their own
network of EDA agencies, and we'ed be glad to assist
anyone who wants any riding that has not been taken.
With 5% of the vote across BC, we all get this inherited voice across BC.

THIS CAN BE DONE ANYWHERE IN CANADA

The cut-off date for filing a candidate in any Electoral
District in Canada is Sept 28th - PLEASE BE INSPIRED
All of this real change can happen in your Electoral District
BUT you and your community must get politically organized.
