INSTRUCTIONS FOR BCG and IE Matrix

<ONLY ENTER DATA IN THE LIGHT GREEN BOXES>
1.

The template assumes a two-division company. To derive this segment

data, enter in the corresponding profits you are prompted for in the boxes
to the right and press enter. Also, change the division name to match your
case (The example is for domestic and international.) Revenues (sales) of
each division determine size of circles. Pie slices, based on profit
contributed by each division are automatically calculated and labeled

2.
After finishing Step 1, click on the BCG link to the right. Once there click
on the circle. Here you can adjust the size of the circle (the larger the size
circle, the more revenue that segment earns) as well as move the circle into
the quadrant you desire. Don't worry about the "light green warning" when
adjusting the circles.

3.
After finishing Step 2, click on the IE matrix link to the right. Then
perform the same task you performed for the BCG. Also, be sure to type in
your company name in the right quadrant according to your EFE and IFE
scores. These may be found on the EFE-IFE tab. Don't worry about the
"light green warning" when adjusting the circles.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPACE Matrix

<ONLY ENTER DATA IN THE LIGHT GREEN BOXES>

Financial Strength (FS), Environmental Stability (ES), Competitive
Advantage (CA), and Industry Strength (IS).

2.
Enter in the five factors you wish to use each for FS, ES, CA, and IS and
the corresponding rating each factor should receive. You may use the
factors provided here, or you may use your own. The calculations are done
automatically and the rating scale is provided below:
3.

After finishing Step 2, click on the SPACE Link to your right. Then move
the box to plot the location derived from step two. These numbers will be
located to the left of the SPACE Matrix on the SPACE page. After moving
the box to the corresponding area, then click the arrow portion of the vector
and move it so the arrow goes though the box. Don't worry about the "light
green warning" when adjusting the box and vector

INSTRUCTIONS FOR QSPM Matrix

<ONLY ENTER DATA IN THE LIGHT GREEN BOXES>

1.
To perform a QSPM, enter two strategies in the corresponding green boxes
below.

2.

After entering in your strategies, then rate each strategy based on the
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Work row by row to
develop a QSPM, not column by column. Do not assign each strategy the
same AS score for a particular strength, weakness, opportunity, or threat.
Assign 0's (zero's) across a row to indicate a particular factor not affecting
the choice being made between the strategies. Do NOT rate one AS a 0
then rate another AS 1, 2, 3, or 4. If one AS gets a 0, the other AS
MUST also get a zero. The coding scheme is provided below.
