I am currently completing a Master of Engineering (Chemical) degree at The University of
Melbourne. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree majoring in Chemical Engineering from
Indonesia and have two years experience working as a Procurement Team Member in Asia
Pulp and Paper (APP) in Indonesia. I am currently seeking vocational work experience as
an Engineer in your company, not only to broaden my knowledge in engineering but also,
to have the experience working in Australia, which is where I will be pursuing my career as
an engineer.
My recent industrial experience (July 2015) assisting Cabonne Council, NSW, with a pilot
study of a polymerization product was intended for use in sludge management at Molong
Sewage Treatment Plant. The application of this product in the water industry is novel and
the research is the first in Australia to contribute to the understanding of dose
optimization, environmental risks and application techniques.
In addition, my experience working at APP has greatly enhanced my problem solving
abilities. I have demonstrated abilities in resolving contract agreement issues, establishing
good team work to finish projects and communication skills from negotiating and
maintaining connections to local and overseas suppliers.
I am particularly interested in joining the Water Innovation Department because currently I
am doing an Industry Project with Cabonne Council, in which I try to find a sustainable
option for sludge waste from a Sewage Treatment Plant. One of the options is to treat the
sludge by converting it into gel like material and reuse it as a fertilizer. I hope by joining
this vocational work, I can deepen my knowledge about treatment and also have an
opportunity to get a hands on experience in Water Treatment Industry.

I am currently completing my Master of Engineering at The University of Melbourne and
have a passion for Waste Water management. I have developed skills in client
communication and negotiation technique, that were attained through working
experience as a Purchaser. In addition, my study in Engineering has helped me to build
my problem solving skills. I am seeking vocational work, not only to expand my
