Showjumping is over a timed course of approx 9 fences after which competitors immediately proceed onto
the XC course of approx 8 solid/working hunter fences. Placings are determined on least faults & fastest SJ time

PRE ENTRIES PREFERRED! Entries on the day at extra charge unless classes are full
Gates open at 9am all jumping & parking is on grass
10am SJ &/or XC CLEAR ROUND

Pre entry: 10 both 5 XC or SJ on day 12 both 7 XC/SJ

limited to 10 places (of each sj & xc) on a 1st come 1st served basis. Combinations may only go round each clear round once

Approx 10.30 am start

Class 1: 40cm Juniors & seniors compete together but will placed separately (combinations not eligible for class 4)
Pre entry fee 10 members 12 non members. 15 on the day for all.
Class 2: Pairs SJ 50cm each rider jumps half a course each which is timed. They then proceed onto the xc course
together & may each jump any height they wish. Pre entry fee 20 per pair. on the day 25 per pair
Class 3: 60cm Juniors & seniors compete together but will placed separately.
Pre entry fee 10 members 12 non members. 15 on the day for all.
Class 4: 80cm Juniors & seniors compete together but will placed separately.
Pre entry fee 10 members 12 non members. 15 on the day for all.
All classes rosettes 1st 6th places both sections. Keepsake trophies to all 1st places & medals to 2nd & 3rd
places. Spot prizes throughout the day.
Dress code: Either SJ or XC clothing may be worn although body protectors & jockey skull caps (no fixed peak) are
compulsory & competitors will not be allowed to compete without them. Shoulders must be covered & suitable riding
footwear must be worn (no country boots/wellingtons etc).
A first aid charge of 2 per competitor is payable on the day.
Pre entries by Thurs 24th Sept. No pre entries received after this date will be accepted.

JUNIOR SECTION RIDERS MUST BE AGED 16 & UNDER ON PONIES 14.2hh & UNDER.
HORSE SECTION RIDERS ANY AGE ON HORSES 14.3hh & ABOVE.
RIDERS OVER THE AGE OF 16 MAY RIDE PONIES IN THE HORSE SECTION ONLY.
Conditions of Entry
1. All riders must wear approved protective hard hats, fixed at more than two points. Chinstraps to be fastened at all times when
mounted.
2. All competitors must be correctly dressed.
3. Objections may be raised by lodging 10 with the Secretary, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld.
4. Excess cruelty to horse or pony will result in disqualification.
5. Horses and Ponies will be considered to be in the charge of the competitors and the committee will not be held responsible for
any damage, loss or injury owing to accident or any other cause.
6. We reserve the right to change, cancel or amend any class without prior notice.
LEGAL LIABILITY
Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible,
neither the organisers of the event to which these rules apply, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of
these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars
their contents & accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in
any other way whatsoever.
HEALTH & SAFETY
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of all persons & horse/ponies. For these
measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid & prevent accidents occurring & must obey the
instructions of the organisers & the officials & stewards.
ANY INJURIES MUST BE REPORTED TO THE SECRETARY
ALL COMPETITORS ENTER ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK
ALL COMPETITORS MUST HOLD THEIR OWN PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
