3. Consumables and expendables are not covered by a service agreement and are the sole responsibility of the customer to supply.
Excluded parts differ, depending on specific product. A specific list will be provided upon request. Excluded parts fall into one (1)
of the following groups: Reagents; rotors; needle cartridges & blocks; sample & reagent cups, racks, trays, cuvettes & reservoirs;
lamps; electrodes; membranes; printer ribbons & drums; paper; cassettes; labels; tube adapters; reagent pickup tubes; stylets;
syringe tips; slides and pipettes. Also, UPS systems and line conditioners are covered by original manufacturers warranty only.
4. Payments for Titled Lease Agreements will commence the month of installation and will continue monthly for the term of the
agreement.
5. CANCELLATION Service agreements may be cancelled by either party by giving a 30-day written notice. A prorated refund or
credit will be returned to the customer in such cases.
6. PRORATION SCHEDULE 15% of the annual agreement price for each month or part of a month the agreement is in force or the
actual services rendered, whichever is higher, will be retained by Beckman Coulter in the case of agreement cancellation; any
balance will be returned to the customer. On the Incentive Based Agreement, pro-ration is based on actual service rendered at list
price.
7. RENEWAL POLICY All instruments that are renewed more than 90 days after agreement expiration require a reinstatement PM
and are subject to a Reinstatement Charge equal to the emergency repair parts cost necessary to bring the unit back to operating
specification, in addition to the standard agreement price. The Regional Manager has the discretion to discount the emergency
parts up to 30%.
All instruments serviced by competitive service groups will require a PM prior to accepting the unit under a Beckman Coulter
Service Agreement. All extraordinary labor and parts costs beyond a typical Beckman Coulter-serviced PM call will be charged in
addition to the standard service agreement price. The District Manager has the discretion to discount the additional labor and parts
up to the IBA rate.

LIS SUPPORT
It is Beckman Coulters policy to provide technical support to our customer during LIS interfacing of a Beckman Coulter product.
Interfacing support can be provided in the form of:
1. Technical documents for customer and LIS vendor.
2. Telephone consultation for customer and LIS vendor.
3. On-site consultation or troubleshooting for customer.
Technical documentation and phone consultation will be provided at no charge as long as the instrument is covered by a Beckman
Coulter warranty or service agreement.
Phone consultation is limited to standard interfacing support and implementation as defined by BCI. Any work with extensive LIS
vendor issues or custom middleware support will be charged separately at the rate of $500 per event for phone support and $3000
per day if field support is required. The initial $500 will be absorbed into the $3000 charge if field support is required.
On-site consultation or troubleshooting It is Beckman Coulters responsibility to demonstrate proper interface communication
from our product during the installation process and indicate thus on the install service report.
After successful demonstration of proper interface communication, on-site interfacing consultation, or troubleshooting will be provided
for a fee of $3000 per day. A purchase order must be obtained from the customer to schedule interfacing support. If it is determined
that the interfacing problem lies within the Beckman Coulter instrument, the fee will be waived.
