INTRODUCTION

Todays computers have been synonymous with the software company that is now one of the
largest in the world, Microsoft. And of course, Microsoft is also known to produce the
worlds most known operating system in the world, Windows. It started as Windows 1.0 in
the year 1985 and sell like hot cakes due to its low price compared with Apples Macintosh.
But it wasnt until the emergence of Windows 95 in 1995, the operating system has received
its cult status after the ease of use of its graphical user interface (GUI) the Windows
Explorer equipped with the Start menu in which has become a household name in every
computer user today.
The latest Windows release today is Windows 10, which Microsoft released it on July 29 th,
2015. Windows 10 features back the Start menu that has been gone missing from Windows 8
(and partially from Windows 8.1), but retained the use of Windows apps from Windows Store
while side by side with the list of programs which is normal on classic start menus in
previous Windows releases. Other features that also added or redesign is the introduction of
Microsoft Edge, a new browser exclusive to Windows 10, some newer icons, the new Action
Centre which places the notifications on the side of the taskbar a much redesign log-in screen.
Windows 10 also has let go the Charms bar, which is included with Windows 8.

1. COGNITIVE

Windows 10 is the operating system brought by Microsoft to improve the user

interface problems faced by its previous release, Windows 8. With the new interface,
users can able to download apps from Windows Store without the hassle of having to
back and forth from the Start screen and the desktop.
When a user upgrades to Windows 10, the user will see the changes of the main icons
and windows that is sleeker and futuristic look to the interface. Users will also greet
by the new search bar to let users search apps and files, and it actually hosts
Microsofts virtual assistant, Cortana, but it wasnt available here in this country.
There is also a button called Task View, which allows the user to pick a window they
want, and to add desktops to lessen the clutter full of windows.
As part of Microsofts offering, Windows 10 is available as a free upgrade if the user
had a genuine copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 for the first year of the public
release of Windows 10. There are generally two ways to get Windows 10 directly
from Microsoft itself.
The first one and the most general they offer is getting the Get Windows 10 app,
which shows on the notification tab on the taskbar. It will be shown there after the
Windows Update is enabled and updates are downloaded in the device. However, it
could take several weeks and even months to wait as there are millions of users are
waiting to get the invitation to upgrade, making it somehow unreliable to some
impatient users.
2. EFFECTIVE
There are two steps to make the upgrade to Windows 10, one is being done
automatically while the other one being manually, and more advanced. Just make sure
that your device has the genuine copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to ease the
upgrade process. The first one is has been done automatically by Microsoft by getting
the Get Windows 10 app from the bottom of the taskbar. It appears when Windows
Update is enabled and the updates were constantly installed. The cons of this feature
is that the user must wait for days, weeks or even months after the release date to get
the notification as there are also millions users who also wants to upgrade.
3. PSYCHOMOTOR
This are the steps on how to install Windows 10 directly from the installation disc:
1. Click on the setup.exe filename after inserting the installation disc.

2. Once the setup dialog pops out, there are two options. Just pick not right now
option if the user wants to do fast, offline installation while it is recommended to pick
the updates option if the user is connected to fast-speed internet.

3. Wait for a while for the setup to check your computer systems.

4. Click on the Accept button on the licence terms page.

5. Choose on what kind of option did the user wants to. It is recommended to pick the
most top option available for an upgrade, the middle option to make a new Windows
installation, and the lowest option is to include wiping out the whole hard drive.

6. Do wait again for another system check.

7. A checklist will appear on how to do your installation. Once the user is satisfied
with the options, click the Install button. But if the user changes minds, the user can
click Change what to keep option below the checklist.

8. Done! The Windows 10 installer will have done automatically until the setup
finishes. So just sit back and relax.

To achieve this objective, the user or the learner must know on how to use the basic skills on
using computers. Having the basic skills and techniques will carry the procedure much ease.
Example of this case is how the user or learner set up the computer peripherals like
connecting the computer case to the power plug, install the relevant connecting cables like
keyboard, mouse and printer and turning the computer on.

2. PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF TOPIC AREA

For this objective, the user or the learner must know on how they will use basic techniques on
Microsoft Windows, on understanding the functions inside the operating system. The general
knowledge that obtained will help the learners to achieve the goal, such as the functions of
the Start menu, windows, taskbar and icons alike.

3. ATTITUDES TOWARDS CONTENT AND POTENTIAL DELIVERY SYSTEM

The users and learners towards the instruction is moderate since that Microsoft Windows
have an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) to understand its functions, but requires
some knowledge on how to properly setup Windows 10 on the parts to reserve and download
from the Internet, and steps to install it without damaging the computer systems. Their
motivation of learning will be high as the upgrade to Windows 10 makes the use of
computers is easier that of Windows 8 and more interactive than Windows 7.

5. EDUCATIONAL AND ABILITY LEVELS

To achieve this objective, the user or the learner must know on the ability to use the
technology well. As the use of computers has become so much easier than before, the user or
the learner do know on how to manage a computer so that the computer is easier to handle
with. In fact, this steps can be applied to future versions wherever there is no change or little
tweaks over the setup settings.

6. GENERAL LEARNING PREFERENCES

Users should know on how to use Microsoft Windows from the basics to use Windows 10
properly, as they have done with the previous version of Windows as Windows 10 has put the
way it used to be before of the Windows 8 changes.

INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY

For the instructional strategy, the learners should use a few strategies to use Windows 10
and its functionalities more effectively.
The most effective strategy used is the easy, simple graphical user interface (GUI) to users
that is easy to use even the very beginner computer users. The return of the Start menu on the
taskbar rejoices the similarities and comfortability with old, long-time Windows users which
is a big welcome to the new environment. Welcoming into Windows 10 also is the new icons
introduced along with the redesign windows makes the GUI looks simple and sleek to use
and makes the users eyes look calm to look at.
The combination of the Windows apps introduced from Windows 8 with the reintroduction
of the Start menu from the previous Windows releases makes the user feel comfortable to use
especially when some of the Windows apps are free to download, the user will free to
customize the app tiles on the Start Menu with the apps the user had just downloaded.
While most of Windows 10 users are cater to keyboard-mouse usage, Windows 10 is also
available to tablet users just like Windows 8 do. All the user had to do is to switch the current
desktop mode to tablet mode on the taskbars Action Centre icon on the side to change it.

1. INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions on how to use Windows 10 can always be seen online through Microsofts
websites, detailing on promotion on how to use the operating system. This method can be
pretty useful for those who have an older Windows installed waiting to upgrade or have a
spare computer. However, for those seeking on finding a brand new computer, they can
always find a qualified computer technician to take a look on your new computer. These
instructions can also be found on Windows 10 retail packaging.

2. TUTORIAL
The tutorial in Windows 10 is given when the user had the Get Windows 10 already
available on some Windows 7/8 devices in which clicking it will show previews on how to
use the new functions of Windows 10 and to get information whether the computer you are
using now is compatible with Windows 10.

3. PACKAGE ARE MORE CHEAPER

There are in talks that the package for Windows 10 will be cheaper than those of Windows
7 and 8, however, free Windows 10 upgrades from the operating systems can be seen in the
evidence now.

4. SUITABLE FOR ALL PEOPLE

Windows 10 can be used into a variety of people nowadays, with lots of options. Young
gamers can play games more effectively with the introduction of DirectX 12 into Windows
10, average people can do productivity work while enjoying entertainment with the apps they
have downloaded, and senior citizens can adjust the settings available to help the use the
computer such as adjusting text display, narrator and high-contrast screen resolutions.
