Chairman, the honorable judges and

members of the floor. Alhamdulillah for the opportunity given to me. Today, I would like to talk
about Malaysia is my country.
Ladies and Gentleman,
As all of you know, Malaysia is a unique country. This country is made up of different
races which live peacefully. The unity among Malays, Chinese, Indian and Indigeneous ethnics
from the Borneo has started years ago and being strengthened up until now with the introduction
of 1Malaysia by our beloved Prime Minister Dato Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak. The
unity and peaceful environment have ranked Malaysia at no. 28 among 160 countries listed in the
Global Peace Index 2015.
Diversity of races, religions and cultures is a significant characteristic of our nation.
Malaysia is known for its rich cultural heritage. Festivals are celebrated together by visiting the
homes of those who are celebrating the festival like Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali,
Gawai Day. The unique concept is known and open house among Malaysian. We tolerate with
each other despite different races, religion and culture.
Ladies and Gentleman,
Food. Dont you love food? Extensive choices of food coming from different races are
available in malaysia. From Nasi Lemak to Capati and then Char Kuew Teow, these foods are
enjoyed by everyone. Sometimes they even learn how to cook them. Nowadays, these food are
readily available at all time. Traditional food such as Rendang and Ketupat, Moon Cake, Maruku
and others are enjoyed among all races especially during the festival celebrated.
Malaysia offers lots of interesting activities from water sport to mountain climbing and
jungle excursion. Water activities like scuba diving, snorkelling, jet skiing and banana boat are
available to be experienced in beautiful island such as Redang, Tioman and even Langkawi
Island. Thanks to the tropical climate, these activities can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Another place to visit is Mount Kinabalu which has been accorded UNESCO World Heritage
status. Mountain climbing activity is offered to visitors who up for climbing. They will be able to
witness the variation of flora and fauna that are to be found at different altitude. Nature lovers
would love this.
Because of stability and peaceful environment, various food offered and beautiful tourist
attraction, Malaysia has been visited by millions of tourist coming from different part of the
world. Research by Tourism Malaysia has shown an increase in tourist arrival from 25.72m to
27.44m in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Malaysia is know internationally. Global Shoppers Index
has listed capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, as 2nd best shopping destination in Asia Pacific.
International events such as Malaysia Grand Prix Formula One Championship and International
Al-Quran Recital and Memorisation Assembly were held in Malaysia and these events help
Malaysian to be known globally.

There are many other points that I would like to elaborate about Malaysia. However, due
to time constraint, I would like to conclude that Malaysia is a unique country, a peaceful place to
live and a beautiful place to visit. Thank you.
