B. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
The data are collected from the number of visitors every 10 minutes in both coffee
shop of Starbuck Coffee and J.CO , those are located in Pondok Indah Mall 1, South
Jakarta. Then, these data are calculated and discussed statistically by our group .From the
result of the collected data we would like to know if the average number of visitors of
these two different coffee shops are the same.

Hypothesis (Ho): The average number of visitors of Electronic Solution and Electronic City
is the same with the level of significant is 0.05.

3. Uses z distribution because n = 100 > 30
4. Boundaries for acceptance/rejection critical points : : /2 = 0.025. From z-score table, the
boundaries are Z0,025= +1.960.
5. Decision : Reject H0 and accept H1 when RUz< -1.960 or RUz> +1.960. If not, accept H0.
