It's the time when every soul longs

for the fresh rain drops but the bunch of rainy clouds
still seems far away. The nature serves jet of hot winds
in humid & dry varieties. This hellish environment is
such that it forces people at some places to dress like
Ninjas, leaving only a pair of eyes peeping out of the
cloth wrapped body. Perhaps it wouldn't be wrong to
say that these months invoke the Ninja out of every
individual that experiences heat to the extreme.

Excel with New Products

Holding the finger of innovation,
Ceasefire has always provided its
customers, the most advanced and cutting
edge technology products. When it comes
to Fire Safety, the competitors seem miles
behind.
To make this distance even more & to
extend the present lead, Ceasefire has
come up with several new customised
products or rather solutions. Some of
them are: Watermist kitchen Suppression
System, Indoor Autoquell System,
SWIFT, FM 200 etc. However, just
coming up with new products isn't
enough, the sales force should know
thoroughly about each of these products,
to make them reach the desired customers.
Hence, each branch is going through a
three day training program, to make itself
familiar with these new products.

Apart from incentives and awards under several

schemes of our organisation, a sales personnel
hardly expects something out of the box.

Gurgaon 1

That's the reason why Team Gurgaon 2 was

surprised when it received a special reward for
good performance in sale & collection.
Something unexpected, but still very pleasant for
all of them.

The happiness that's oozing out of every

face that's receiving a new laptop is
evident to say that they all love
Ceasefire's new Laptop distribution
scheme.
Under this scheme the laptops are
distributed at prices much lower than the
market rate, on easy EMIs.
It's because of this scheme that they
look TipTop with their LapTops!!

Aahar

National Office

Under the leadership of our new HR head, Mr.

Kundan Sinha, who joined Ceasefire just a few
weeks ago, we have already started witnessing
changes.
Apart from daily mailers from 'myhr', there are
several new plans in the pipeline for the days to come.
One such new plan was initiated this month with
'Collective Birthday Celebration' in each branch.
A celebration, once in a month, though memorable
for all.

Secutech

2 Months 2 Exhibitions
It was the end of Winters, a time perfect for all to
come out of their houses to have fun after 2 months
of chilling cold weather. Making it a time, ideal for
hosting exhibitions.
In the month of February, Ceasefire participated in
Secutech 2013 (Mumbai) & in March, Aahar 2013
(New Delhi). Two totally different exhibitions but
with a brand common at both places Ceasefire.
While Secutech was focused on Security products
& Aahar was focused on Food & related
machineries, Ceasefire became a centre of
attraction at both places.
At Secutech, our stall attracted a large crowd not
only for our security products but also for our fire
safety products, as those were not available on any
other stall present in the exhibition. It also
attracted the attention of Mr. M.S. Bitta (AIATF
chief) who was invited to the exhibition as a chief
guest.

stalls were showcasing products related to food &
food processing, we displayed our Watermist
kitchen suppression system along with our other
products. So that people don't forget their safety

Hot Seat

Javed Khan - AVP Sales

(West Zone)

Could you brief us about your life before joining

Ceasefire?
Worked with Asian Paints for about 6 month in Lab as
chemist. Although marketing and Sales was my
dream.

What's the best thing that you like about your job?
It does not allow me to be complacent rather it always
keeps me on my toes all the time. The kind of
Challenges that I often face makes me stronger &
realistic.

Tell us when & how did you fall in love with

Ceasefire?
With time!!

How would you define Hard-work & Smart-work?

What are your views on both?
I believe there is nothing like Smart work if you do not
work hard. Smart work is undoubtedly required in
every workplace but this comes with time &
experience. Hard work often pays you rich dividends
sooner or later but Smart work alone may not
guarantee you success all the time.

How was your initial experience in the

organisation?
Initially, it seemed a very daunting task as it being a
hard core direct sales organization. But when one
starts following SPANCO process, the task becomes
much easier. Also when one starts growing, he just
have to work on certain accounts & manage the sales
force which again gives him an opportunity to develop
as a Manager.
According to you, how has Ceasefire changed
over the years?
In terms of Vision, Brand building, Employee
Retention, Product Portfolio, Ceasefire has evolved
considerably over the years. Today, we have presence
in more than 300 cities which itself speaks volumes of
how Ceasefire has developed over the years. Today,
Ceasefire is not a company which is selling fire
extinguishers only, rather it provides holistic fire safety
solutions.
A few months back, you were heading the NCR
region & now you are heading the West Zone. How
different are the two places? What impact has this
transition made on you?
If you compare the Market Potential, it is always more
when compared to NCR. But so far I can see that Work
Culture is different which is a natural phenomenon.
This transition has made me more receptive in terms of
queries and taking things further. Adaptability is again
a key here to bring out the best out of me.

As far as sales is concerned, do you believe in

'Survival of the fittest' or 'Survival of the most cooperative'? Why?
As we have often been emphasized on healthy
competition in order to achieve common objectives
(i.e. growth), I believe Survival of the fittest is the
need of the hour.
What motivates you the most? Power, Money,
Recognition or anything else?
To me its recognition ,recognition & just recognition.
Over the years, what had remained your personal
mantra for sales?
Passion to excel is what drives me when it comes to
SALES.
What interests you apart from sales?
Listening to music & watching cricket.
What message would you like to give to the
Ceasefire family?
I would like to convey a message that right attitude,
self belief & conviction can make you achieve new
heights in this organization. If you are a growth
oriented person & continuously strive to upgrade
yourself then believe me Ceasefire will certainly
shape your career in the right direction.

HOLS MESSAGE

2. Raja (ASM) - Feb13
3. Rajesh (ASM) - Mar13

1. Sales are contingent on the attitude of the

salesman - not the attitude of the prospect.

WORDS FROM THE HOL

Hi Everybody, this is M. Pavan Kumar, joined
organization as Major Account Manger in Jan,
2006. I was recruited by Mr. TGS for Chennai
North Branch. From October 2007, officially
handled Team and took Flash Award for the
First Qtr.
In 2008 July, I took transfer to Hyderabad due to
personal reasons & was placed in Hyderabad
South branch. In the very next month, I was
promoted as TM.
In April 2010, I was promoted as ASM . Till this
tenure I was working in FSS .
In Dec. 2010, I was transferred to Security
Division under Mr. Ramesh. I joined Chennai
branch in June 2011 & was promoted as BMS in
the same year. In July last year I was promoted
as Sr. BM.

2. It is not your customer's job to remember

you. It is your obligation and responsibility
to make sure they don't have the chance to
forget you.
3. We miss 100 percent of the sales we dont ask
for.
4. Realize that selling is a numbers game. Get
more numbers and youll get more yeses.
5. Think of yourself as a resource to your
clients; an adviser, a counselor, a mentor and
a friend.
6. Dont sell. Solve!
7. Prospecting Find the man with the
problem.
8. In both medicine and sales, a prescription or
proposal without thorough diagnosis is
malpractice.
9. Every sale has five basic obstacles: no need,
no money, no hurry, no desire, no trust.
Practice Your Self to Handle Obstacles .
10. We never lead with product; we lead with
need.

Till the time, I was working in FSS, I never felt

Competition as a criteria and created Accounts
like TVS Logistics, Perot Systems, JSR Groups,
TI Cycles, Kapico, ICOMM Tele, Aster, IDefens,
Alfa Aesar, GQ Consultancy, CGS India Etc
Post my transfer into Security Division I initially
struggled a lot to understand the subject, the
market, the process, the technology and several
things associated with it. When I took over
Chennai, hardly a 3 men team was working,
averaging a sale of 1.20 Lacs and plenty of old
outstanding.
In my initial days my Boss (Mr. Ramesh) helped
me a lot to create the infrastructure & recruiting
man power. Gradually, I brought this location to
a decent average .
Currently, apart from Chennai we are operating
in Madurai, Trichy, Tirupur, Coimbatore &

EXPERIENCES WITH CEASFIRE
1. K. RAJESH
Hi Everybody, this is Rajesh K. (ASM). I
joined this organization in Jan, 2006 as Sr.
Sales Executive in Chennai North Branch
and promoted as Territory Manger in
April, 2007. Due to some family problems,
I resigned from the organization in Oct,
2009.
In July, 2011 I rejoined as ASM in Security
Division. As my experience was in FSS I
thought it would be easy for me to get
sales through my Old Clients, but when I
entered the field I realized that customer
requirements were a lot different from
FSS. Initially, I struggled a lot to generate
prospects and even sales pitching was
tough due to too much of technical
details. But, by giving constant
presentations and proposals it became
easy and in 2-3 months, I started
performing well.
During my tenure, I've created accounts
like CLS, Vasan Eye Care, Hot Breads,
TWI, Phocos India, Sri Durga
Constructions, Newyork Cotton Corp,
One World Academy as Major Clients
along with many Residential & Retail
customers. I'm very thankful to my
superiors for supporting me and I wish
you all, The Very Best!!

2. K. RAJA
Hello Everybody, I'm K. Raja (ASM). I joined
Ceasefire family in Jan, 2007 as Sales
Executive in Coimbatore Branch (FSS). In
March, 2008 I was promoted as MAM, then
promoted as AMBD in Apr 2009 and the
next year I was promoted as MBD in April
2010. During that same year, I got an
opportunity to transfer to Security Division.
Initially, I was confused but in Nov, 2010 I
took transfer to Security Division.
In Dec, 2010 I picked an Order worth 10.50
Lacs for CCTV. That sale increased my
confidence level and since then I never
looked back. Through consistent good
performance, I became TM in 2011 and
started handling a 3 men team. By next year
I had spread my market in Tirupur & Salem.
In July, 2012 I was promoted as ASM and I
started handling a team of 8 men.
Currently, I'm handling the complete ROT
market and delivering the results. Thanks
for the support given by my superiors &
team mates. Last but not the least Ceasefire
is the best platform to show your talent.
Grow and Earn at the same time!!

Delhi Institutional Division
History of the Branch
Since the dawn of Ceasefire Industries, it has been the
primary eye of the company to aim direct customer. Delhi
Institution Division started in November, 2007 with its mentor
Mr. K.Pramod. The division started at Rajendra Place with
single cabin operation with 3-4 Executives.
The first Punter being Directorate of Infrastructure (Income
Tax) through Kendriya Bhandar of approximate value of INR
1 Lacs. In December 2008, the team grew up to 5-6
Executives with monthly revenue of approx. 5 Lacs.

PM House, Rahul Gandhis residence and Maharaja Train.

Ceasefire can expect many more of such mesmerizing
consequences in recent future from Delhi Institution.
The branch which started in 2007 with average revenue of 1.5
Lacs is now booming to average revenue of 4 Million. By end
of 2013, the team is planning to accomplish average revenue
of 60 Million per month which is eyed at 10 Million by end of
2014, with a team of 40 Executives in 6 Verticals. In the recent
future, the branch sees itself chasing few goliath orders, such
as Indian Railways, NTRO, CPWD AFS, DTC, Delhi Police,
Bharat Petroleum, UPPCL, SAIL, etc.

HOLs Profile
By end of 2009, the division got its own office at South
Extension Part II. The division was being headed by Mr. Abir
Guha (GM) with team size of 7-8 executives. Till then the
team grew up to 12 Executives and Average Revenue of 8
Lacs.
In the year April, 2012 Mr. K Pramod took over the
responsibility of Country head of Institutional Division along
with Mr. Praveen Khosla as Regional Manager heading
Delhi & NCR Institutional Sales. The team size was now up
to 15 executives and revenue was around 12 Lacs.
Currently Delhi Institution has a family size of 22 hard
working individuals, headed by Mr. Praveen Khosla (RM).
The revenue of the branch in 2013 has grown up to 37 lacs
from 14 lacs of previous financial year. Thus giving the
branch a progression with a lot to be desired yet.

Praveen Khosla

The branch is headed by Mr. Praveen Khosla. He joined the

organisation in 2005 as a trainer. He has experience of
training more than 4500 executives. In the year 2012, Mr.
Khosla have been adored with a new responsibility of Sales in
Institution Division. Being very hard & smart worker he had
taken the situation as a challenge for himself and took the
branch to sail around the world. When he joined the branch
the average revenue was around 14 lacs which is currently
whooping at 37 Lacs in mere 1 year of work. He had worked
hard not only to develop the branch but also to develop the
executives in terms of inter personal skills.

Branch At a Glance
Team at Delhi Institution enjoy nothing more than bigpicture, with forward thinking but also very analytical and
thorough in developing business plans and strategies.
Employees thrive in a stimulating & dynamic environment,
and are developing a team playing attitude. The focus is not
only divisions development but also to have individual

After joining Ceasefire Industries Limited in Feb, 2013 I

realized the real sense of Business Development and Interpersonal development. Here, I came to learn a lot about
Institutional Sales under the guidance of Praveen Sir. As a
human being he has always helped us in acquiring
knowledge and guided us to be a good human being. Here in
the branch everyone has the feeling that Work together and
Grow together.
Everyone here works hard and smart to achieve a common
goal i.e. development of the branch. We consider our team
as a family and everyone here is always ready to help others
in whatever means. Although closing an account here is a
time taking process but still our enthusiasm remains high
which gives us motivation to perform better in future. Hope to
see more such aspects in future.
JAI HO!!

I joined Ceasefire in 2012, since then I came across a new

world of Industry behaviour. Before coming to this
organisation, I had heard that working in sales field was too
tough and employees work under a lot of pressure. But at
ceasefire, we hardly received any pressure. Here working is
fun. The office ambience make you learn while you earn.
Seniors are always ready to help you up, to fetch your goal.

Rahul Singh

Its been almost 3 months since I've joined Ceasefire

Industries Ltd. It has been an exciting journey so far. All I can
say from the experience of past three months that sales
makes you learn a lot, specially institutional sales. The nitty
gritty of institutional sales are too vast to be understood in
such a short period of time. As a frontliner you need
enormous back up from your managers. I can say it proudly
that the managers here are really supportive and without
them it would have been really tough to survive. The work
culture here is also really nice. Employees are given enough
space to work according to their strengths and weaknesses.
Last but not the least, it's a pleasure working with a brand like
Ceasefire and hope this exciting journey continues forever.

Vaibhav Kumar

I joined this branch in July, 2010 as Manager Business

Development and currently I am working as Area Sales
Manager. Here, I got a lot many things to learn in the field of
sales which surely is going to help me out in my life. The
seniors here are very helpful and make me understand each
and everything, easily and effectively. Now I'm imparting the
same onto my subordinates.

HOL's Message
My message to all would be that, God has
blessed us with a beautiful life with a
purpose. Let's reciprocate by achieving
something meaningful and make
everybody proud..... God, the organization,
family and most importantly ourselves.
Be good and be gods....... Jai Ho!!!

The Catalyst

The Power Of Words!!

An old blind man was sitting on a busy street
corner in the rush-hour begging for money.
On a cardboard sign, next to an empty tin cup,
he had written: 'Blind - Please help'.
No one was giving him any money.
A young advertising writer walked past and
saw the blind man with his sign and empty
cup, and also saw the many people passing
by completely unmoved, let alone stopping to
give money.
The advertising writer took a thick marker-pen
from her pocket, turned the cardboard sheet
back-to-front, and re-wrote the sign, then
went on her way.
Immediately, people began putting money
into the tin cup.
After a while, when the cup was overflowing,
the blind man asked a stranger to tell him
what the sign now said.
It says," said the stranger, " 'It's a beautiful
day. You can see it. I cannot.' "

Be You. But be the very best version of

yourself. There is no need to be a
COOKIE-CUTTER Version of what you think
everyone wants you to be. There is a place
for you. SOMEWHERE.
If you get a correction-SAY THANK-YOU.
Do not talk back. Dont fight it.
Just fix it, or do your best to try.
Anyone who is successful in life knows that
GREAT accomplishment require great
SACRIFICE.
Do not fabricate or place expectations on
anyone but yourself. It will only lead to
disappointment. You can only expect the very
best from YOURSELF-because you are the
only thing you can control. Everyone else is
a gamble.

An Amazing Piece Of Art!!

(By - Prabhu Das - Hyderabad Central)

I would like to take this opportunity to talk about a great milestone of mine, at Ceasefire. Recently, I have
completed more than 1 year of my journey in this company. A journey filled with stories of struggles,
success, fights, fun and joy. This journey has become even more memorable because of the larger effort that
each one of you put in here at work during your individual tenures. I take pride in THANKING each and
every one of you here for the your support. They say that, after 1 year, it's time to restrategize, but with the
advent of this milestone in my life and that of this company, I intend to make changes to the way we have
lived our lives so far.
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
