HISTORY and founder

Sephora is a visionary beauty-retail concept founded in France by Dominique Mandonnaud in 1970.


Acquired by the conglomerate LVMH first company in the world of luxury goods, based in Paris, in
1997.
1998, Sephora expands internationally into Portugal, Poland, Spain and Italy. Also launched its
website, the foremost beauty site on the Internet in the U.S
1998, the brand crosses the Atlantic to set up shop in the US.
2000, the women of Romania and Greece have Sephora beauty brought to their doorstep.
2003, Building on a history of solid customer relationships, the brand launches its state-of-the-art
customer service and loyalty program.
2005, Sephora expanded in China
2008, South-East Asia finally gets a look at Sephora Beauty goodness. The inaugural Sephora
University opens the same year.
2010, Sephora sets out to conquer Brazil and Mexico.
2011, Opening of the Malaysian flagship in Kuala Lampur.
2012, Launch of the shopping website sephora.it. And in May: opening of the first Sephora in
Denmark.
2013, Deployment of the MySephora program.

This department handles Sephoras e-commerce websites.
IT DEPARTMENT
The IT Department makes sure that Sephoras IT systems are efficient and reliable, and adapted to
our needs.
FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Taking on responsibilities of managing risk, monitoring results, maintaining regulatory compliance
its all part of developing the company in France and on the international stage.
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT

Supporting international expansion, recruiting talent and Promoting an exciting career management
system that develops each individuals potential.
PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT
The Property Development team uses their initiative to discover and negotiate new properties for
Sephora stores around the world.

LOGISTICS
The supply chain team constantly pushes for excellence in all areas, from managing the companys
data flow, to handling warehouses and transportation.
