ALTERNATIVES SPORTS IN THE WORLD

The most recognized sports in the world are soccer , tennis, basketball, gymnastic and
others . all those sports have its rules, championships , and different ways to win but I will
not talk about those sports , I will talk about alternatives sports in the world because all
people dont know about them

TCHOUKBALL
That sport is usually played on an indoor court measuring 27 metres by 16 metres. The
sport was developed in 1970s by Swiss biologist Hermann Brandt. Each team can score on
both ends on the field, and comprises twelve players, of which seven may be on the court at
any time. In order to score a point, the ball must be thrown by an attacking player, hit the
frame and bounce outside the 'D' without being caught by the defending team. That sport is
good because its rules say "Physical contact is prohibited" it mean all people can play that
sport because its not violent at all.

ULTIMATE

That sport is very interesting because Ultimate is a very different game that sport is the
same as rugby but its played with a Frisbee. Ultimate is better than rugby because ultimate
isnt violent at all because the contact is prohibited at all moments. That sport is very
common in the United States, Canada, in some places of Europe and South America, Points
are scored by passing the disc to a teammate in the opposing end zone. Other basic rules are
that players must not take steps while holding the disc, and interceptions, incomplete
passes, and passes out of bounds.

KORFBALL

Korfball was invented by Dutch school teacher Nico Broekhuysen in 1902 ,Korfball is a
ball sport, with similarities to netball and basketball. The objective is to throw a ball
through a bottomless basket; It is played by two teams of eight players with either eight
females in each team or with four females and four males in each team. That sport is used
by some soccer teams because its a very good sport to learn to do teamwork but in those
practices the teams play with the whole body except their hands .

TEJO

The game consists of throwing a metal puck/disc, weighing approximately 680 grams,
across an alley at a distance of approximately twenty meters, to a one meter by one meter
board covered with clay and set at a forty-five degree angle. This metal puck is the "tejo"
itself. In Colombia, it is very common to find professional Tejo teams around the major
cities and smaller towns .That game is very difficult because you need to be very accurate
in your shooting however some people are experts at that game since they are children.

Finally, as you can see those are some alternative sports. However I recommend ultimate
because when I play that game with my friends is very funny and exciting even though,
when you finish playing you need more clothes because you finish very dirty but it is your
decision. My recommendation is to practice different sports. All sports are difficult but
when you learn to play them you could enjoy that sport more. Also practicing sports is very
important for health and it is a great habit for your family.
