The industrial training as part of studies for the student of


management. The industrial training at TY BBA. level helps us to know the working problems
of industries before we enter in to any organization as an employee or executive. This will help
the student to come out & exhibit the qualities which is not way can be exhibit by theoretical
visiting.
Project report on Apollo industries ltd is prepared with the permission of a company the
purpose of preparing project report is to study the subject practical studies. In this project
report I have tried to inclued and those points which are TYBBA while going through the28
days training program I come to know number of things which are quite difficult to learn in the

The Apollo group of companies of which Apollo Industrial


Products Ltd., (ISO-goal) was incorporated under the companies Act, during 1973 and was
initially engaged in the manufacture of drilling rig but during 1978, it switched over to
manufacturing activities in sphere of road construction equipment such as hot mix plant, paver
finisher etc. the group offers almost the entire range of road construction equipments to make
the road safer, smoother and durable at every economical price.
The company is very good in quality consciousness, after sales & services, Scheduled
delivery and strong supports repairs/spare base, because of its reliable products; it has gained
acceptances and popularity with central and state Govt. Organizations.
Though the company is medium size but has achieved 60% market share of whole
Indian market and the pavers finisher population is over 2000 all over the Indian and abroad.
The company is in sphere of road construction on equipment from about 31 years and has
reached to the present by advanced manufacturing process, expansion and domestication.
The company has latest and modern manufacturing facility latest machinery, quality
assurance control department, adequate inventory, experienced staff and network marketing
officers in all cosmopolitans cities of the country.

MACHINE SHOP:Various machineries are available in this section for manufacturing various part of
pavers machine such as:
CNC Turing Center lathe.
For manufacturing of baring hosing, collar, shaft making etc.
Lathe Machine.
For manufacturing shaft, collar for shafting, chain wheel parts etc.
Colman type redials Drilling machine.
Operation performs Drilling on: Hab, Worm staff, warm plate, chain wheel &type,
square cover and hab of gearbox etc.
Redial Drilling machines.
Drilling on plate on gear box, coaole-2, plate & strippers to join engine, hydraulic
cylinders joint hook, hoppers chimney hooks etc.
Milling machine.
For milling machine various parts of paver machine assembly such as:

Personnel management is concerned with managing People who are working in the
organization. It covers all of personnel including workers and officer. The aim of personnel
management is to get better result with their effective collaboration and active involvement in
the organization. It means personnel management is concerned with influencing, advising
directing, reading, and communication the employees towards the organization goal and
achieving this goal promptly.
During our in Apollo industry, I found that there is a separate department for human
resources management i.e. personnel department which performs the function like personnel
administration, wages, salary, staffing, training, recruitment & selection, personnel records. Mr.
V.G.Vyas heads the position of H.R.D manager of

There is no any particular policy for recruitment and selection on
Apollo Industrial Products Ltd. Company gives advertise in the newspaper for office or
management staff. Company gives advertise in rare cases for technical or other normal
workers. Advertisement colleges, friends, relatives are the main recruitment sources of
company name Apollo Industrial Products Ltd.

SELECTION OF EMPLOYEES
Selection is a process of adjusting or placing right man at place. Generally there is no
certain procedure for selection of employees, Selection process varies from post. Selection
process starts from application received then after holding preliminary, interview, and

selection procedure.
Apollo Industrial Products Ltd. has not particular procedure for selection. It selection
employees based on recruitment in each dept. and for this they contacts some contractors for
the require manpower.

TRAINING AND MANEGMENT DEVLOPMENT


As the time passes, service technological advancement taken place and along with the
organization peeping pace with ten development technology it is also important to import
proper knowledge and development competencies of tne employees to meet the challenges of

By such training and development program employee feel that the organization cares for them
and they try to contributed the organization will Benefits by having competent and dedicated
employees.
There are various type of training i.e. Induction training, job training promotion
training and refresh training.
Apollo Industrial Products Ltd. gives induction type of training; this type of training is given to
new entered employees organization. In Apollo Industrial Products Ltd.
The new comers have to take the training for one or to year, if they are unknown of the work in
Apollo Industrial Products Ltd. there is no separate training department. The training is given
in the factory hour time. During the training, their performance judged, if the performance of
employees is satisfied their employees are taken in the permanent staff of the company.
Company sends employees in a Broad too for training at company's cost if new change new
comes in.

INDUCUTION
This induction programmed done by this company for the
familiarize the new recruit employee in the company. This induction is depend on is place of

recruiter person in the company like when some managerial level person recruit in the
company so for that induction is done with other person, they meet all the department head and
manager. Some time any technical person recruits in the company so thats induction are done
only with this specific department only

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL

Performance appraisal is the system by which the management tries to find out how effective it
has been hiring and placing the employees. A performance appraisal process of eradiation an
employee's performance of a job in term of its requirement.
Most of the production work done of the bases of the contract. Gujarat Apollo
Equipment Ltd. gives contract to the private contractors for production work. There is very less
workers in company staff engaged in production work compare to contract system. Contractors
appraise employees categorized under contract system are apprised by contractors while staff
employed apprised by company's own supervision. They record the employee's performance
regarding their work ability to do behavior and these records are used in promoting employees.
In case of management staff, performance apprised by each head of department.

PROMOTION AND TRANSFER POLICY


Promotion is necessary because it is reorganization of a job well done by the employee. A to
retain and reward an employee for this year of service to the organization to increase individual
and organization.

office staff. Company also takes in the mind factor like performance, capability of work done,
work accuracy and experiment of emptying, promoting them Apollo Industrial Products
Ltd.get Benefit of promotion such as keep employees in high moral sincerity of employees
reduction in cost training.
Transfer is the movement of an employees form one job to another without involving any
substantial change in his duties, responsibility, required shifts, status and compensation. But
Apollo Industrial Products Ltd.has no any other Branch; in his company in rare cases
employees are transferred from one job to another job.

WAGES AND SALARY


Wages and salary are provided to employees according to their
skills and abilities whether they belong to lower or top level. There are almost 47 workers and

they are provided wage weekly basis. Incentives are given to them for extra performance in
production department each employee is provided 120 rupees per day.
In the top level management also, provided satisfactory with a view
to increase their performance to provided motivation, they are given ESI scheme, PE and same
extra loan facility. There are total 50 contractors and they are provided wages on daily or
weekly basis.
In Apollo industrial products limited there is a collective system,
which describes wage rates and basic condition of labor with trade unions instead of individual
workers.

TIME KEEPING SYSTEM:-

Apollo Industrial Products Ltd. has separate time office. For


peeping the employees absenteeism record, system is operated by time office. Here punching
card system has been developed. Every employee is given a punching card white entering in
plant that card is to be punched at the time of having the same should Be punched when the
card punch, the number is recorded in computer insuring employees presence in the

organization. Plant work of 8 hrs. Single shift 8:30am to 5:30pm. There is break for lunch of
one fir. From 12:30 to 1:30, employees also are given over time when there is high burden of
work there are weekly holiday on Sunday.
