Question 8. Question :
(TCO C) What types of relationships are possible in a relational
database? Describe and give an example of each.

Student Answer:

Instructor
Explanation:

Relational databases represent data as two-dimensional tables

(relations), tables also knowing as files. Each table contains data
on an entity and its attributes such as Access is a relational
DBMS for desktop systems, Microsoft SQL server are relational
DBMS for large mainframes and midrange computers. There are
three types of relational database : 1- One to one In this kind of
relational database both tables can have only one record on either
side the primary key relates to only one or no record in the related
table. Example is one spouse to one husband 2- One to many In
this kind of relational database primary key table contains only
one record that relates to none, one, or many records in the
related table. This relationship is similar to the one between you
and a parent. You have only one mother, but your mother may
have several children. 3- Many to one in this kind of relational
data each record in both tables can relate to any number of
records (or no records) in the other table example many
professors to may students
A one-to-one relationship occurs when each record in one table has only
one related record in a second table. An example might be a table of
salespeople and a separate table of company cars. Each salesperson can
only have one car, or be related to the one car in the database. A one-tomany relationship occurs when a record in one table has many related
records in a second table. An example might be a table of salespeople and
clients. Each salesperson may have several clients. A many-to-many
relationship occurs when records in one table have many related records
in a second table, and the records in the second table have many related
records in the first table. An example might be a clients table and a
products table. Clients may buy more than one product, and products are
sold to more than one client.

Question 9. Question :
(TCO D) Describe the effect of cloud computing on traditional IT
infrastructure.

Student Answer:

Instructor
Explanation:

There is a dramatic impact of cloud computing on tradition IT

infrastructure, because the cloud computing does not require the
users to have their own infrastructure. The users only have to pay
the service just like utilities bill and only pay for those that they
use. As a Service model, the users can be billed either through a
utility computing or subscription account as they go, that will
One of the major benefits of cloud computing is that the users are
no longer are faced with business limited expenditure, and can
save resource and maintenance cost of IT so they can utilize their
resources to support operational expense or elsewhere, that will
enable the business to move forward on a level IT playing field
with some of competitors. This resources on the cloud, sharing
computing will enable users to improve utilization rates, reducing
costs significantly while increasing the speed of application
development. The cloud has low barriers to entry, shared
infrastructure and costs, reduce management cost and more
accessibility to applications. Another benefit with cloud
computing is that the users can terminate the contract at anytime
and services are often covered by a service level contract with
financial penalties , which is never likely with traditional IT
infrastructure.
Because websites, applications, and databases have been moved to a
cloud vendor, the corporation does not need infrastructure, such as Web,
application, and database servers, as part of its in-house computing
infrastructure. It is replaced by a network infrastructure that provides
employees with Internet access to the cloud services.
