1. Answer to this paper must be written on the paper provided separately.
2. The time given at the head of this paper is the time allowed for writing the answers.
3. This question paper is divided into two Sections. Attempt all questions from Section A and
Section B.
4. All working, including rough work, must be clearly shown and should be done on the same sheet
as the rest of the answer. Omission of essential working will result in loss of marks.

SECTION A: Answer the following questions accordingly AND each question carries 3 marks.
1) If area of a Rhombus is 144 Sq mts and one of its diagonal is 12m, then find the measure of
other diagonal and side?
2) What is the ratio of heights of cylinder and cone which are on same base with equal volume?
3) Find the area of the segment AYB in the below, if radius of the circle is 21 cm and AOB = 120.

4) Find the area of the shaded design in the given figure above, where ABCD is a square of side 10
cm and semicircles are drawn with each side of the square as diameter. (Use = 3.14)
5) On a square sheet, nine circular designs with each of radius 10.5 cm are made as shown in the
below. Find the area of the remaining portion of the sheet.

6) ABC is a quadrant of a circle of radius 21 cm and a semicircle is drawn with BC as diameter. Find
the area of the shaded region as shown in the above figure.
7) The radius of a conical tent is 7 meters and its height is 10 meters. Calculate the length of canvas
used in making the tent if width of canvas is 2m.
8) A sphere, a cylinder and a cone are of the same radius and same height. Find the ratio of their
curved surface areas?
9) The curved surface area of a cone is 4070 cm2 and its diameter is 70 cm. What is its slant height?
10) Two cubes each of volume 64 cm3 are joined end to end together. Find the surface area of the
resulting cuboid.

SECTION B: Answer the following questions accordingly AND each question carries 4 marks.
11) A hemisphere is cut out from one face of a cubical wooden block such that the diameter of the
hemisphere is equal to the length of the cube. Determine the surface area of the remaining
solid.
12) A solid consisting of a right circular cone standing on a hemisphere, is placed upright in a right
circular cylinder full of water and touches the bottom. Find the volume of water left in the
cylinder, given that the radius of the cylinder is 3 cm. and its height is 6cm. The radius of the
hemisphere is 2 cm. and the height of the cone is 4 cm.
13) A solid sphere of radius 15 cm is melted and recast into solid right circular cones of radius 2.5 cm
and height 8 cm. Calculate the number of cones recast.
14) ABC is an isosceles right angled triangle with ABC = 90o. A semi-circle is drawn with AC as the
diameter. If AB = BC = 7 cm, find the area of the shaded region as shown below.
