linear sensor, plate, plate cover and cable. Inspected the tester for any
deformities and mechanical deterioration. Checked its function. The
presence sensor and the plate cover are defective and must be replaced.

Cleaned the brake tester. Removed large amount of dirt from the pit.
Grease and lubricate the mechanical components. Inspected the L/R
motors, brake rollers, chains, force/weight and inductive sensors,
bearings, acquisition modules, cabling system, linkages and covers.
Checked its function.
The center cover is deformed. The rear stopper is damaged that caused the
tester to misalign during the testing of heavy loads. The center cover must
be reformed. The rear stopper should be re-welded to its position on the
frame. The leveling bolts should be re-fixed with the rear stopper.

Bogie Roller Unit

Remarks and Suggestions:
Cleaned the bogie roller. Removed large amount of dirt from the pit.
Grease and lubricate the mechanical parts. Inspected the rollers,
electrovalve, air cylinders, brake pads, bearings, linkages, pneumatic
system and covers. Checked its function. There is air leakage on the Yconnector of the electrovalve. The cover is deformed
Y-connector is defective and must be replaced as soon as possible. Cover
must be reformed.

Speedometer Tester
Remarks and Suggestions:
Cleaned the speedometer tester. Removed large amount of dirt from the
pit. Grease and lubricate the mechanical parts. Inspected the rollers,
magnetic sensors, electrovalve, air bellows, acquisition module, brake
pads, guide rollers, lifting board, linkages and covers. Checked its
function. Checked its function. All brake pads are worn-out and one of the
brake pads is already damaged. Recommend to replace the brake pads.

Electro-Mechanical Control System

Remarks and Suggestions:
Cleaned the control panel and its components .Checked the functions of
each component. Inspected the terminals, wirings, switches and
connections.

Process Indicator/IR receiver

Remarks and Suggestions:
Cleaned the process indicator pole and frame. Checked the setting of the
LCD monitor and its connections. Inspected IR receiver function.

Pneumatic Supply System

Remarks and Suggestions:
Inspected the air line, gate valves and hose connections for cracks and

leakages.

Removed the large amount of dirt present in the pit. Cleaned the pit and its
surroundings.
Recommend to clean the pit and its surrounding at least every month.

Stage-3 Equipments (Headlight, Emission and Sound Level Tests)

Automatic Head Light Tester

Cleaned the headlight tester. Grease and lubricate the mechanical
components of the tester. Inspected the measuring camera, light sensors,
chain, bearings, roller, drive motor and control relays. Checked its
function. The tester is functioning normally during first vehicle
measurement. However, during the second vehicle measurement, the tester
failed to measure the headlight correctly. Found-out that the camera and
its board (DSP board) are both deteriorating and must be replaced.

Cleaned the sound level tester. Inspected the physical condition of the
tester and its function. Inspected the power supply, tripod, its mounting
and connections.

C.

Automatic 4-Gas Emission Tester

Remarks and Suggestions:
Cleaned the gas emission tester. Inspected the sampling probe/hose,
filters, sensors, IR bench, LCD screen, printer, keyboard, trolley, cables
and its physical appearance. Checked the function of the tester. The
analyzer took longer time to power-on that indicates that the power supply
has a leakage and deteriorating. The O2 sensor is exhausted. Recommend
to replace the power supply and the O2 sensor as soon as possible.

Remarks and Suggestions:
Cleaned the smoke tester. Inspected the sampling probe/hose, measuring
chamber, optical sensor, heating system, temperature sensor, exhaust fan,

appearance. Checked the function of the tester.

Inspected the switches, breakers, wirings, connections and terminals.

OVER-ALL EQUIPMENT/SYSTEM CHECKING

RESULT
Remarks:

There are defects on the, brake tester, speedometer, side slip bogie roller, headlight tester, gas
analyzer, LCD monitor and CPU due to normal wear-and-tear of the equipment. All equipment is
dirty and presence of foreign materials such as sand, dust and plastics will contribute on the
breakdown of the major components.

Recommendations:
Replacement of defective items. Regular preventive maintenance of the equipment of at least
every month. Regular cleaning of equipment pits and its surrounding.

Requested Items:
Speedometer brake pads, side slip presence sensor,20 LCD monitor, O2 sensor and power
supply of gas analyzer, Y-connector of bogie roller, DSP board and camera of headlight tester,
CPU of stage 4 computer system.
