Class Structure
The course is divided into six primary areas of exploration in
effective management:
1. The management concept, the evolution of management theory,
and global management
2. Strategic management: Planning, culture and decision making
3. Operational management: Organizing and managing
productivity
4. The soft subjects of leadership: Leadership, communication,
negotiation, networking, motivation, managing teams and
organizational behavior
5. Ethics and social responsibility
6. Concepts in enabling organizations to innovate and change
