ACCOR CABLING
SYSTEM
WARNING
The Accor Requirements for Construction define the minimum rules or performance to be applied to all construction or refurbishment
projects, in all countries. They shall not replace the need for an individual design for each project, which must also incorporate the
standards and regulations applicable locally.
The more demanding between statutory or local Authorities requirements and Accor requirements shall always apply.
Please refer to General Requirement DA0010 for general Guidance & for Terminology, Responsibilities and Guarantees.
This document is published by Accor exclusively for use on Accor projects.

1 INTRODUCTION
1.1
GENERALLY
Ac c or C ab l i ng S ys t em (ACS) is the generic name of the data and telecom cabling in the Accor Group's
hotels.
It is a structured multi-purpose voice data images cabling system (including TV).
1.2
1.3
WARNING
ACS is a generic cabling system.
Each project shall be subject to a specific technical design, taking into account, especially, the particular
features of the establishment, and, in the case of a new building (or a major refurbishment), the requirements
set out in the "project brief" document prepared under instructions from ACCOR
Naturally, it is essential, when selecting a product, to take into account statutory requirements, professional
advice and the possibility of local supplies.

The cabling from the distribution patch-panels will be "star-wired.
The maximum length of a cable (including the flexible wires to connect equipment and jumpers) will be 100
m.

Each meeting rooms will be served by a quantity of 4-pair cables and RJ45 sockets to suit the size and the
use of the room.
The minimum number of cables shall be 3.
On average, 1 RJ45 socket + 1 230V socket will be needed every 6 m.
These cables will directly connect into the main patch panel or via a sub patch panel, depending the distance
between RJ45 to main PP.

4.3
ADMINISTRATIVE AREAS
The service to administrative areas (locations and density of sockets) shall be subject to a specific study.
For preliminary estimate, each "administrative" workstation will be equipped with 3 modular sockets (RJ45)
and 3 AC power sockets.
The cables will run above suspended ceilings, or in trunking etc., and will not be visible.
RJ45 sockets on walls may be installed into skirting on partitions or walls, or on IT column points, in
accordance with environmental conditions.
Caution: No RJ45 sockets on moveable partitions

5 PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The documentation provided shall enable the standard administration of the cabling system to be carried out;
however, in the case of large size cables (heavy duty), the provision of a specific software package is
recommended.
