As the end of the semester winds down, RPHS students are having bittersweet moments. For the seniors, the end of the semester
puts them one step closer to graduation. For some, this a nerveracking thought; but for others, it is the only thing that is pushing
them through the remainder of the year. Christmas break couldnt
have come at a better time. You can see in the hallways that the
students are getting restless and are more than ready for a twoweek break. The high school winter athletes, however, are probably feeling more bitter than sweet because of their busy schedules over the break. The girls basketball team will be traveling
to LeBlond for the annual holiday tournament on the 28th, 29th,
and the 30th. The boys will also be participating in a holiday tournament in Trenton for the 21st and the 22nd. We wish all of the
basketball athletes luck in these tournaments. There is also no
rest for the wrestlers this winter break. The wrestling team will be
traveling to Lexington on both the 18th and the 19th. Good luck
boys! Anticipation grows more and more each day with the hope
that the new gym will be ready for use upon our return on January 5th. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and hope to
see everyone back at school with refreshed minds and attitudes.
